So true, no expectations = no dissappointments but its easier to say that then it is to truly have no expecations, I always find i have some sort of expectation going into the trip. Anyone have any tips to, ya kno, get the expectations of your mind?
I guess I dont have any tips, really it's a personal growth thing since although we have similar experiences with LSD, we also have unique personal moments which no one else can ever understand. The only expectations I have when going into a trip are 1. Im going to trip lol 2. The first 45 minutes are strange and uncomfortable 3. Anywhere from 2 - 6 hours, Im going to be rendered immobile and most likely not be able to speak for a while. Other than that, I just drop blotters with the understanding that no matter how many time's I've done this before, Im going to not understand anything at some point. I remember when I took my first trip on mushrooms, I was 15. I was expecting a more euhporic weed high, and thought hallucinations were like the images that pass on your eyelids when your stoned and falling asleep listening to music. Boy was I ever blown away when suddenly, before any physical effects or high feeling started, I felt like I knew every person on the television, on commercials and the show I was watching. I felt so connected to humanity that it felt like they were all my immediate family. And then the visuals started :cheers2:
Isn't it when you're totally living in the moment to the point of being completely unaware of yourself yet completely aware of your surroundings? That's what I experience on acid, anyway..definitely don't need 10 hits for that tho..just 2.
No you definitely don't need 10 tabs to experience ego death, you can from less if your mind is ready. There is however a massive difference between an ego death on 2 tabs and an ego death at higher doses imo. The point also is that on 10 tabs there is, in my experience and from what i have heard from any other people taking this amount, is that it is pretty much guaranteed on 10 tabs of decent strength. It is a lot more intense and can be extremely scary even to people who are experienced with ego death.
Nah that's just being more focused on your surroundings than your self. Ego death is when "that which experiences" is no longer aware that "that which experiences" is (a) you (b) human (c) here (d) now. etc. It's much more intense . . . i think ego death is quite a misleading term, since it's not a binary condition, it's a spectrum of lowered self-awareness, and increased awareness. It should be called self-dilution imo.
the first time i experienced ego death was on mushrooms.....i took 7 grams and had a really intense trip. i tripped 4 times before i had ego death. havnt had ego death in a while lol
