Well update time. We are doing ok. They decided not to take his rank, after all the fuss that he made, and someone outside of his command made. SO hopefully they wont try again in the future. I am super stressed, and just getting by day by day. I am sure my husband is aggravated with me, bc I can not clean and keep up the house anymore. My pain levels are at an all time high.

I hope you are all doing well. We are doing ok. Had some health complications but otherwise much better. Just pray that the military will stop trying to fuck with us, aNd leave us alone for at least a little bit. It really is so much stress.
Anyways, I hope this is a good update for you all.

<3 you all so much! for being there for me. I just can not wait till January when we can move out of housing, and move into an used rv, and there will be less to clean and more freedom.

I am not a pacifist, but I can respect that someone who has been to war can feel a sense of futility, even evil in it. It is understandable that he made a decision to join that seemed right at the time, but does not work for him now. I still respect his decision to serve and protect his fellow Americans and I respect his decision that it is time to end that chapter in his life.

As long as there are people plotting to blow up American airports or high rise buildings, we should have some plan in place to thwart those efforts. Has the plan gotten sidetracked to serve other goals? It seems that way to me. I like the old saying, "When you are a hammer, everything else tends to look like a nail to you". Our military has hammered things that should not have been hammered. Even people who believe that there should be a military component to our efforts in Central Asia and Iraq, acknowledge that most of what we do should be to assist local people develop skills for independent living and the ability to defend themselves from groups like the Taliban.

Also I can't justify a single thing they are doing to your husband or anyone else in service. We owe all of them a great debt of gratitude and should offer them help in returning to civilian life.

I hope that your husband will be able to take some skills with him that will help provide for your family.

Thoughts and prayers for both of you.

    Hey there,

Sorry to hear about all the trouble you are getting. Hope all goes well.

On the pain issue, you might want to check into acupuncture. Acupuncture can be expensive though, but it's very good at treating pain (acupuncture is endorsed by the world health organization for a variety of ailments). If there is an acupuncture school in your area, they sometimes have a discount student clinic. Also, some folks sometime offer treatments on a sliding scale basis.

It might be worth checking out at least once to see how you like it if it is reasonably priced. Student treatments can be as low as $15, pro treatments for $50-$75, but sometimes they try to charge more. If you find a good acupuncturist, they might teach you how to do an acupressure massage on yourself, so you can treat yourself for free. I think you can also get acupressure massage treatments, and they would be able to teach you.

Meditation, tai-chi, or other qi-gong can also be helpful, and since you can do it on your own, there's no cost involved.

I have no idea where you are located. If you are near Boston, I would recommend the New England School of Acupuncture Clinic.

It may be no coincidence that your pain is at an all time high at the same time that you are having high stress levels. If your pain has a stress element, meditating might help quite a bit. Meditating can be quite simple, just sitting or lying down, trying to keep the back straight, and clearing your mind of thoughts. Simple, but not easy. You might also try getting a relaxation tape from a new age bookstore. An hour a day is ideal, but that might not be practical.

you should use this horrible experience as vehicle for informing and saving others from making the same mistake.

the military is a parasite on civilization
