Cutting the government in half will only add 11 million to the unemployment lines, and make government twice as bad. If you really want to solve the problem, cut the House of Representatives and the Senate in half. But honestly, does anyone really believe that is going to happen? Pft!
Well my point is that many Republicans or the those on the economic right who are not republicans are not hateful people. They are not neo nazis, KKK members, or anything of the sort. They just have different opinions on how the government should work - and it is my belief that the kind of arguements you are putting forward are not helpful and even worse are not condusive to constructive and gentlemanly discourse.
That is so dishonest, it's got to be more GOP propaganda. The trickle down theory is nothing more than "piss on the poor", and you know it. That's covert hate. You got a lot of damn nerve talking about "gentlemanly discourse" after the slander the cons have perpetrated on Obama the last four years, calling him a non-American, un-American and a Muslim. The cat's out of the bag, you're a closet con.
A closet con? I'm a lefty through and through. I believe in a Keynesian economic model... and I certainly have no interest in 'trickle down economics'. I disagree fundamentally with people like LetLovinTakeHold and others say about how our system should work, but I don't think them hateful, and I certainly don't lump them in with abhorrent groups like the KKK. Not all economic conservatives do and say what you purport - some do - such as many in the core of the Republican party. But the people you are directly insulting in several threads are not even republicans, they are libertarians and are not the ones guilty of the nonsense you are talking about (and they don't necessarily agree with everything Ron Paul ever said, either). You need to settle down and try to be less judgemental. The sort of rhetoric you favor solves nothing, is a block to legislative compromise and informed discussion, and builds greater barriers between countrymen who have different views on our system of government.
Listen, I'm voting for Obama, but really it's just a measure of who will screw you less. A lot of people voting republican are good people who are either rich fucks who want to get taxed less, or simply raised in republican areas and don't pay much attention. And the democrats aren't really a prize either. Politics is mostly a scam to keep us fighting while they laugh all the way to the bank.
Obama has screwed up majorly. Obviously, you want to live in a world where government agents spy on us online, and threw drones flying over our head. Plus, what you said about republicans is not true at all. I'm not rich at all! I make 500$ every two weeks and the government takes out 100$ per pay check. Who likes paying taxes? I lean conservative because they're supposed to believe in limited government. Obama is too invasive on our personal rights and completely disregards the constitution. I identify more as a Libertarian, but the man who made me believe in America again (Dr. Ron Paul,) is running as a republican.
You seemed to be defending the trickle down in your last post. Ronnie Raygun started that, and it has NEVER worked. In fact, since Raygun started it, the tax burden has shifted to the middle class and transferred the wealth of this country to the rich, creating the aristocratic society the cons have been trying to achieve. If the cons win in November, this country will become just another banana republic, where there is 1% rich, and the rest peasants, like Mexico. You advocate being non offensive to that ideology. That appeasement is what let Hitler come to power. Sorry, I'm not going to be polite to an ideology that hates half of this country. They hate the liberal ideology and want to destroy it. That's my way of life, and I'm not going to capitulate. LLTH was right about democrats, they are wimpy, trying to be polite. That's why the cons have been so successful, and that's why I'm an independent. There are three kinds of republicans, the greedy, the bigots, and the ignorant that are fooled by them. If you notice in the title of this thread, it said that the hate groups vote republican. It didn't say that all republicans belong to hate groups. I did say that the republican party is the party of hate, and that's a fact no matter how you try to put lipstick on that pig. The difference between you and me is, when they kick you, you roll over like a puppy, I bite the fuck out of them.
You clearly did not understand my post. Re read it and quote to me how I defended trickle down economics. What I defended was the character of individuals who subscribe to it. I think they are in error, but I do not think that necessarily means they are acting on bad faith. (Of course some are, but that can be said of all views) Then I'm not clear on your intentions, since your demeanor will not convince anyone of anything other than your intolerance of views different than your own. It's one thing to disagree with a position, it's quite another to label people who hold said position carte blanche as belonging to a hate group. Being rude and confrontational accomplishes nothing. The way I see it, all you manage to do is give leftys like myself a bad name. I would much rather speak to LetLovinTakeHold and disagree until the sun goes down then agree with someone whose attitude I find questionable at best. If you want to discuss something with people, try to at least be civil and polite. If you are not here to 'discuss' things but rather preach in a negative, insulting way, then I fail to see what end result you are seeking. The difference between you and me is, I discuss things in a constructive manner, while you would rather do... whatever it is you're doing.
(A FEW QUESTIONS-AGAIN)--I think maybe the question should be--why do humans have government in the first place? What is government? Is it needed at all? If it is needed ,how should it conduct itself? Are people trustworthy enough to comport themselves properly without a government or do they/we bear watching? Are there examples of NO government and how have they worked or do they work? Are there examples of overbearing government and how are they working or how have they worked? I think these questions are going to be of the utmost importance in the future. Maybe even the near future. Everything falls apart eventually. Who will reorganize then and what will the conditions be under which we live? Capitalism? Socialism? Libertarianism? Republican rule? Pure oligarchical rule? Total religious rule? Democratic rule? Which will suit humanity better? Will the middle/working class still exist? Will the rich? Fuck the KKK and the rest of the fringe groups. There will always be(?) hate among humans as long as evolution of the species draaaaaggggssss on and the same old discussions continue. A HUGE leap out of "the Box" is needed and IS coming. But IMO,not until literally millions demand ????????
Romney just picked Paul Ryan for his V.P., it doesn't get more right wing fascist than him. He's the leader of the hate group Teabaggers. And Romney is making the announcement on a war ship, boy that's a hint.
Considering some of your opinions on the absurdity and obsolescence of US politik he must seem particularly ridiculous to you on how he gets all bent out of shape on the right vs left dialectic. I can't help but chuckle picturing you shaking your head.
THIS. Do you folks really think that ANY politician gives a flying fuck about YOU? Politicians are never FOR anything. They are AGAINST each other. End of story. Spoken like a true politician.
teabagger multiple meanings. 1) one who carries large bags of packaged tea for shipment. 2) a man that squats on top of a womens face and lowers his genitals into her mouth during sex, known as "teabagging" 3) one who has a job or talent that is low in social status 4) a person who is unaware that they have said or done something foolish, childlike, noobish, lame, or inconvenient. 5) also see "fagbag", "lamer", "noob"
I don't hate anybody, really. Hippies know that hate comes around like a boomerang and inflicts bad karma on the individual.
Honestly I don't know why these representatives can't telecommute via skype. All these big congressional staff, Let the representatives stay in thier home districts. Our Veresallies on The Potomac is the source of a lot of corruption by pressure groups.
