shit when me and some friends got pulled over in philly, the cops found some crack on the black kid that was with us and beat the shit out of him, and they took all the weed and the bubbler, but when they found the percocets that we didnt have enough time to swallow, they tried asking us and each other if they were e pills and then one of the cops said that they were antibiotics so they just stepped them out on the street. Not that it matters though since after beating the one kid up they ended up letting us all walk home and taking the car from us. Man I hate cops so much.

Maggie, i am here to help. I assume you were arrested in Tennessee. You are 28 so you are an adult. Your charge for mj possession is a misdemeanor. If convicted, you may face one year in prison and a $2,500 fine. But you don't have to go through that. Please answer the following so i can give you some good advice. I was arrested for mj one time also and i have learned a lot.

    1. Is this your first conviction of any crime (other than minor traffic violoations)?
    2. What were all the things you were charged with? You said one schedule I charge and one Schedule IV charge. The schedule I was mj but what was the other? It was not for suspected MDMA, since X is also schedule I and it turned out not to be it anyways. Was it a benzodiazepine? Darvon/Darvocet? Ambien?
    3. did you answer "yes" to when he asked you if he could search your car?
    4. What part of TN did you get arrested in??

Now for the curiosity question. If you are 28, you most likely have your own place, why not just smoke there? why set yourself up like that? im not asking this to make you worry - you probably will get a slap on the wrist (lil bit of probation).

Feel free to PM for any reason

    Hello ssj...
Thanks for your concern..I appreciate ya!!
I'm pretty sure everything is going to be just fine. I have an awesome attorney, and he's telling me not to worry about a thing. He's even saying my probation will most likely be unsupervised. The arresting officer said he would help push for that as well. I have to go back to court October 27th, and hopefully the state will have approved my pre-trial diversion. I have never been in any kind of trouble, so my attorney is 99.9% sure that they will. The schedule I (xtc) I was arrested for will be thrown out, considering it wasn't really xtc. I'll only be charged with a schedule VI, which is marijuana. All I had was just under a gram, so like you said, it's a misdemeanor. I didn't have any other drugs on me.
As for your curiosity..I just enjoy hitting a back road and tokin' it up from time to time. That's something I've enjoyed doing for 12 years now, and I'm not likely to change now. Sure, I have my own place, I just like a different setting sometimes. I'm sure you all can understand that. Like I said before...if my purse hadn't been in the trunk I would have eaten the weed. I'm STILL kicking myself in the ass for leaving it in there, trust me. :& Thanks again for your concern sweetie..keep ya fingers crossed for me.. :)
Thanks to all the other cool folks here too..lotsa love to all of ya!! :)

Well..11 months, 29 days probation. I'm not sure what type of probation yet. I won't know until I see my probation officer on December 8th. One year probation for one joint. This is how so many people get caught up in their fucked up little loop. They eventually violate their probation and have to go to jail for the remainder of their probation period. I guess I'm gonna have to quit smoking...it's just not worth the risk of going to jail. The system really sucks and I'm pretty bummed...:(

im really sorry that happened to ya sugarmaggie...didnt catch your story until now. I find it funny that the cop thought it was X when it was a sweet tart...

you should be proud for not getting caught until now...i havent been caught yet, thankfully, but i bet at least 90% of my friends have gotten caught once in their lives before high school ended, some even before they reached high school (they arent the brightest people...or very unlucky [IMG]), and i think some of them have had it worse then you...mainly cause of multipule offensives, and large quantitys

hopefully you get a kind P.O. who will decide not to check up on ya...i've known of a few of my friends that had P.O.'s like that, so i hope you get lucky and will be able to smoke every once in awhile instead of a full year :D

the system does really suck...hopefully someday it will be decriminalized everywhere :( I hope the best for ya

Thank you sweetheart. I love people that can find positive in bad situations. I can be so negative sometimes. Just the thought of having to quit makes me crazy though. Damnit if I have to quit smoking weed, then all the liquor stores should be closed down..that's the way I see it. Alcohol is so much more harmful. Herb keeps my stress level down, and trust me...with a psycho ex that is good for nothing other than harrassing me, two kids that I'm raising alone, bills out the ass and two jobs that I have to be at 80 hours a week..I have a HUGE stress level. Sometimes I just really look forward that joint I get to smoke at the end of the day. I realize that weed isn't something I HAVE to have, but I happen to enjoy it and I think it's pretty fucked up that someone can tell me I can't have it. Sorry for my bitching guys, but DAYUM. I know it could be worse, and I know that life hasn't come to an end, and yes I will get over it.
Maybe you're right, rhasta penguin...I hope like hell I get a cool probation officer. I honestly just don't see me going a full year. Hell, I can't even remember the last time I've been a month without smoking..had to be when I was a teen. I just have to stay positive. Thank you for your kind words sweetie, you made me feel better. :)

Edit: Now that I think about it, the last time I quit smoking was when I was pregnant with my son, and he's 7 now.

From what I understand, Marijuana is a schedule VI. Schedule I drugs are xtc, mushrooms, lsd..anything that doesn't have medicinal purposes in the eyes of the law. That's what my attorney told me anyway.

Damn, I cant believe they gave you that kind of penalty for a joint. I'm really sorry to hear that.. Please dont smoke though and violate your probation. That would not be good.
