    Skip,

    Thank you my Brother.
I been looking once again http://www.hippy.com Maybe you can help me to find it. I still don’t see a space where people are coming together to be-in the next Scene. Create the next Scene. Live the next Scene. Maybe it’s there in the site and I’m just not seeing it. Is there a link that you could show me?
    :gossip:

    Sincerely, Kenny :sunny:

Yes, Reverand JC, you understand what I’m talking about. That’s the Nut Shell version.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    You're a sharp guy…
The Question to ALL: How do we/------>

    co·a·lesce
    [koh-uh-les]
    verb, -lesced, -lesc·ing.

    1. to grow together or into one body: The two lakes coalesced into one.
    2. to unite so as to form one mass, community, etc.: The various groups coalesced into a crowd.
    3. to blend or come together: Their ideas coalesced into one theory.
    4. to cause to unite in one body or mass.

Origin: 1535–45; < Latin coalēscere, equivalent to co- co- + al- (stem of alere to nourish, make grow) + -ēscere -esce

------>/here on-line on order to be gin the next REAL Scene/age of enlightenment/renaissance/era/trip?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can we come together on-line and form a group to create? Would this be possible on-line? Or do we all need to move to a big house in a city, like San Francisco? Can we pull our power together on-line? And build a new scene from the old? Take me there, Brother.
    :gossip:

Yer in Berkeley, is there a REAL Scene there? Or anywhere? Please tell the folks, here.

I think we can do this online. Sure, it'll be a hell of a lot harder. Than if we were all together. But on this forum we have an abundance of people who will fight for peace on here. Theres brothers and sisters from all over this beautiful plantet on this forum they can share our precious gift of peace with people who aren't on here and eventually there will be more people in movment, like us and more and more then this will be a reality.

I have a theory about Music and the evolution of human consciousness. The did a study where they put patients in an EEG machine and looked at their brains while they listened to music. They found that very melodically intricate music like Bach stimulated activity in one part of the brain. Very rhythmically intricate music like African Drum Choirs stimulated activity in another part of the brain. Very lyrically intricate music like Bob Dylan or Leonard Cohen stimulated activity in yet another part of the brain etc.

The music I'd like to make eventually would combine these elements to run the brain on all cylinders so to speak. With the strong rhythms comes dancing which will strengthen the body and with the mind being subconsciously stimulated will force the lungs to take in more oxygen and force us to use more than the 25% of their capacity that humans standardly use.

I'd like to see ritual make a return to our lives. In our modern society we have neglected that aspect. We don't spend as much time observing the changing of the seasons for example and paying respect to the passing of time and the changes in our lives.

I'd like to see a return to listening to the wisdom of both the young and the old. And a cashing in on the promise of mutual respect. I'd like to see humanity finally realize that you have much more to learn from people that you have nothing in common with than people that you have things in common with.

And with all of the technology that we have available to us we have the ability to grow this neotribalism to it's logical next step and move humanity forward.

I've posted this clip many times on this forum but it resonates with me very strongly so I will post it here too:

I like your music theory stuff. We need to get you an EEG machine or an alpha feedback thing. I would be fun to see where you go.
Maybe you could make mystery music that would take people out of themselves and get them high. Enchant. Just like Orpheus. Mesmerize. There would be no further use for drugs. No one would ever get busted ever again. We could all be out there together.

Yes, ritual is real for humans. You’re correct. Human traditions of thousands of years have been replaced with TV commercials.
Tribal is an especially important part of a million years of human function. We are all tribal beings. We are societal. Social. Pack. Tribe. Suddenly it is gone. We all exist in separate little boxes with Zero human contact, for our whole lives. That is so very not human kind.

    Start a tribe, anyone?

…listening to the wisdom of both the young and the old.
…finally realize that you have much more to learn from people…
…ability to grow this neotribalism to it's logical…

Yeah I love the Bill Hicks piece that you put up. Thanks. A simple message.

Sorry about the ugly melted candle. Best sound quality and volume choice.

love is but the song we sing,
and fear's the way we die

you can make the mountains ring
    or make the angels cry
know the dove is on the wing
and you need not know why

    come on people now,
    smile on your brother
    everybody get together
try and love one another right now

some will come and some will go
    we shall surely pass
when the one that left us here
    returns for us at last
we are but a moments sunlight
    fading in the grass

    come on people now,
    smile on your brother
    everybody get together
try and love one another right now

if you hear the song I sing,
    you must understand
you hold the key to love and fear
    all in your trembling hand
just one key unlocks them both
    it's there at your command

    come on people now,
    smile on your brother
    everybody get together
try and love one another right now
    right now
    right now

By the way. A lot of new folks come into Hip Forums and ask the question, what make you a hippie. Well this song is certainly one of the things. We'll tell you the rest of them later. Maybe.

Yes! I do, too. I think we can do this online. I’m sure that it will be a lot harder. But it will all be very worth it. Hard work. Good things are worth working at. I just know that some of us are truly up for it.

Yes, together is far better than lonely. We are Love. Together we are even more Love. Creating and building together we are new and growing. Making something that the world can feel and understand, we are leading by example. Did he say “ample?” Let’s make more for everyone.

Our work be gins. We learn to know and understand each other and to share together. Work together. We discuss aspects of what it all is, and share and show that to others. Other join in.

I think we can do this online. Sure, it'll be a hell of a lot harder. Your right. But we Love a Challenge. LOVE.

You said, "There's brothers and sisters from all over this beautiful planet…"

vansrouge is in Portugal, Wild Blood is in Canada, KeithBC is on the West Coast of Canada, and tanasi is in woodstock nation just like you are.
McLeodGanja is either in Manchester, England or Manchester, New Hampshire. He's too stoned to know. But I'm guessing Manchester United.

    Which one?
The music one I don't remember where I read it. I could probably Google it.

The Charlie Chaplin one was very much real. It also grabbed the attention of HUAC (The House Unamerican Activities Commission) and got him black listed as a Communist.

    A tale of olde.

Back in the day, I and everybody Loved All of the music and all of the bands. If someone came up with the idea of having a favorite group, which at the time was a really weird concept, I would have to say the Jefferson Airplane. Some guy, new from the east coast, actually did ask me that in 1970. The first time that I had ever heard the notion. Weird then and weird now.
The Airplane? I’d seen them perform so many times live, back then. They had great sounds and REAL messages, that are still REAL messages, in today and in the future. Great Rocking Rock and Sweet Folk. Strange ideas.

Like I say, everybody Loved all of the music and all of the bands. There was no choosing that one had to do. That idea was Foreign. Not part of the scene or the headspace of the day.

This brings me to my point.

The whole Hippies scene started melting because of just this type of headspace. Where once people were free and felt and believed many things at once, as superior Heads and People of knowledge and wisdom, suddenly things started to splinter bit by bit. People thought that it wouldn’t matter very much if a few things splintered, but it truly did.

In time each person sat in their own LITTLE world by themselves. Just like “The Fool on the Hill” Beatles. “Day after day. Alone on a hill.” We all can do that. And sometimes it’s nice. But it’s not a way for a people.

In 68 through 70, in F.B.I. ran a main spearhead against all anti-war people, “a program of divide and conquer” against protesters, radicals, leftists, and hippies, even the politically apathetic hippies. “End that fad.” “Amerikan Morality only.” It is referred to as Factionalization.

    fac·tion·al·ize (fksh-n-lz)
To split (a group, for example) into disputatious factions:
"Once a faculty is factionalized, of course, the process of appointments becomes partly a competition for allies" (Calvin Trillin).

    factionalize definition
    to divide into factions

    factionalization
The formation of factions, often through conflict

I mean, at first, nobody cared if Steven wanted to move "Back to Tennessee" where he came from and took three busses of hippies with him. Nobody cared. Do what you like. That’s cool.

Not a very cutting-edge thing to do or anything. Not going to change the world or anything. I would call it hiding. Not very new. The Quakers have done it since 1700.

I mean I’m originally a country boy and I like farming too. Nothing like eating you own fresh corn or picking and eating that tomato. But it’s not the center of the universe. Being a farmer doesn’t define you as a hippie. It defines you as a farmer. Even, if you do grow pot. So, do some city people.

The point is that there were no real separations. You could love all or any types of music Rock, Blues, Folk, whatever and all or any groups. Everyone did. You could love steak or be a veggie, smoke tobacco or not, smoke or not, drop or not, recycle or not, be for the environment or not, be totally for women’s equality or not, be for civil rights or not, be for freedom or not, be for ending the war or not. Most of us cared about most if not all of this and there were no divisions like there is today.

Today, if you’re Green you can’t be wild and into Rock. If you don’t recycle you can’t hang out with and be a peace person. You have no free choice. If you said to yourself, “I want to start smoking tobacco tomorrow,” you would be a societal outcast. Women’s equality is such a separate issue now. Gay rights is separate from the whole. All too bad. If you’re into yoga, zen, or meditation your are an outcast if you go to wild crazy parties. People who party can’t hang with others.
Young can’t hang with old and old can’t hang with young.
None of us even know what we are truly missing now-a-days.

All of these separate cubicles. Divisions. Is this how we live? How pathetic.
Be all that you choose. And all come together. Here. Unite. Hippie.

    LOVE

Kenny, that was beautiful. While reading that I just imagined you standing in front of a crowd at a podium delivering a speech to wide-eyed, thoughtful people. A powerful message to be sure. It has inspired me to create art, may I quote some of your post?
