That is very true, everyone is in their own little world and we are not allowed to share in that world.

I have always traveled here and there, learning from the people in different areas. Until, oh 10-15 years ago I noticed that people started to question my motives, which are only to help and learn what the world looks like from their perspective.

Perhaps 2011 changed folks, but now people are very weary of anyone that may have a different perspective and thus difficult to share in others ideas, dreams and lives.

In the 60's and 70's there were gatherings and parties everywhere and all were invited, now,it seems, you need an invitation to attend your own family reunion.

It reminds me of the three shaman sitting on a mountian, one said "what is the meaning of life?".
After a hundred years the second shaman said"I shall consider this."
Another hundred years went by and the third shaman got up and began walking away.
When asked "where are you going?,he said" I have to get away from this constant chatter."

Thank you, Wild Blood. But you are the hero because you are here and sincere, while 600 people just read and go on. You feel and do. You lead the circle with what you express.

The vision of a podium sounds nice, but I envision us beneath the stars in a circle with campfire light lighting up our faces. Each of us saying in turn, and then passing the Talking Stick to the next one in the circle for them to say. A podium is for those who lead. I only wish to serve and to lift up my sisters and my bothers. You may lead and others can take turns, just for fun.
    Leading is make believe
    .

Do create your Art. “may I quote some of your post?” Sure I guess. What parts do you like? Just curious.

Thank you! And...hum. All of it! But only a small amount will fit into a drawing. xD

I like your vision better. You're right, a talking stick is a lot nicer than a podium.

Cool. So, I pass you the talking stick.

Sit in the center by the campfire and tell the few of us here, all about how you feel.

Are you feeling the coalescence developing here and now between and with us? What do you feel like, being in it?

Say. Tell us. or just pass it on.

So, true. People far apart. People together. We can stay where we are, or we can try something new.

Maybe it’s the time of the season for Loving. Maybe it’s a time to try something new.

I to have always learned from other people by listening to them tell me about their experiences in their lives.
I can only live one life. If I listen to and understand how a 100 other people have lived and experienced their lives, then I have the wisdom and understanding of one who has lived 101 lives.
I am multiplied by 100. You are, too, wise tanasi.

You and I and we all can choose be try something new and you can receive the talking stick and tell us how you feel to be part of this new headspace and family.

    Open.

It inspired me too. Also pissed me off, just think about stereotypical we are in this world today. So separated. No one can join together and be one if they separate themselves from the others.

I like his vision better, Too. A talking stick is maybe a little more effective if we all talk, vs. one person talking. :2thumbsup:

:sunny:I don't get out of my stupid lifestyle enough to come together with people because of my everlovin cozy addiction to my own personal consumption

it took my long enough to find a shampoo I liked and I'll pay a dollar an ounce for it [Shi Kai]

We should consider getting together and bringing in the dollars that mcbusinesses do

IF THERE'S ONE THING THING that most PEOPLE can relate on is thinking they are RIGHT about something being good. Just SELL it.

Start a hip business or work for one could be as easy as mcstarbuggery on the internet machine if people engaged themselves more in the business they were in, it wouldn't be such drag to work if one could get money from what she BELIEVES in

While it is valuable to come here to talk about what we have in common, and any movement needs some of that, eventually the rubber has to hit the road. It's not enough to identify what our values are. We have to actually go out in the real world and live by them.

That means adopting a value-driven lifestyle even if it means going against the grain. If we believe in living lightly on the Earth, how do we go about actually doing that - actually consuming less? How can we live without becoming parasites? If we believe in peace, how do we go about spreading peace among real people, including people we don't like?

The last one, I have found is something that living in a city discourages. It is too easy to be rude to someone because you know you will never see him again. So if that lifestyle is toxic to hip values, what is a lifestyle that is not? Can we find a community where spreading peace (a.k.a. neighbourliness) is encouraged? How can we make a living in such a community? How do we practice actually doing it, instead of just talking about it? Can we learn to get along with people we disagree with? That, after all, is what peacemaking means.

It is valuable to try to identify what those values are (and we don't have to agree on all of them). In fact, that is what all those "what is a real hippie?" threads are attempting to do. But it is certainly not enough to just talk about them. We each have to challenge ourselves to put them into action in our daily lives, starting today.

Yes, but here we are. The people who care. Look above at us. You and we are Beautiful.
Here is your group. Look at yourself and them each. They are yours and you are theirs.
    Friends.

Now, if only, I could see each of you join together, while I just stand back for the moment and listen to you each. For Who YOU really are.

If ONLY you might each see and learn to hear and respect what the other has each said.

CAN YOU, respond to aid and Help the other sister and brother here? ????? If I just stand back quietly for a moment and listen to your hearts speak???????

Can you see what I see too.
tanasi is very open. Loves to be social and to hear others and to learn and grow from understanding others. Did I get that right? tanasi.

    We're both Scorpios. "I SEE You." …Avitar.

Next I see Wild Blood, understanding and Loving it. Feeling really comfortable and seeming to be Loving it. You ARE. This is your space. Your group. Your new friends. Just Be You. You really bring a comfort and a center here to all of us. We feel your heart.

Next I hear Plasticfantasticlover. At first being inspired. And then after she reflects for a moment I feel her explode! Like Rage at being Used by others. "Also pissed me off, just think about…"
YOUSEE THIS IS A REAL PERSON FINALLY WAKING UP! AWESOME!!!!

You almost NEVER GET TO SEE THIS. This is SO unique! REAL REVELATION for an individual.
    TRUE FREEDOM.

I understand, too, and feel that tuesdaystar is having her own self examination and realization and moment of true growth. Right here.

She turns on her "my everlovin cozy addiction". And start to be a new person from here on. New aware tuesdaystar. Growing new.

After an inspired moment of self realization and while on a roll she sees a way to make money or a livelihood from all of this. A dawning! She has a brilliant epiphany here but I already know this so I would ask her to please discuss this Volume money thing with me as an aside. Like PM and on another web site. too. Yes, tuesdaystar, your totally right. Wright me. There are plans.

Meanwhile please focus on our new scene and your new friends. We'll all get around to the other. Latter.

And, KeithBC, Your answers are, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, and Yes,
"We each have to challenge ourselves to put them into action in our daily lives, starting today."
Been doing all of that my, Brother, but I'm older and I came from there originally, to begin with, as well. Yes, We shall.

    tuesdaystar
    …and I'm wishin I'd be better than…

And we are all all about being better. K

Each of you. Please take a moment and answer each other. PLease.
    Stick

    re: kenny's post on factionalism

Here's something we can all come together on right now and spread like pollen on a breeze till it pours like rain

INTENTIONALLY love and accept the people you interact with the people you come in contact with
No one is a lost cause, that business exec is a man with love in his soul, that junkie is a man who knows pain like you may never experience, that gang-banger has a survival skill that he backs up with force, that nerd has a loniliness for acceptance...
Everyone is hip enough to be loved.

While some people's views and lifestyles might not fit in to your ideals, neither does the world fit into your ideals

Don't walk out the gas station without the man behind the counter knowing your love

You don't have to be hip and hairy and stylish or wise and just and right or wild and free

    You just have to BE

Although I don't have the answers for all of these,You're right.

Before we were either in high school or college and all around the same age.We also played off each other at the time because we all sought the freedom that the revolution offered.

Now some are seeking rainbows within the machine, which is cool if your so inclined, but that also breeds competition in other areas as well.

I would like to be able to adore your new car while you examine my favorite crystal and each of us be truly happy for the other.
While I understand that you may view my prize crystal as an old rock, you understand that I view your new car a future eyesore in a junk yard.

I really hope some of you can get my drift, if I can (really) care for you, then a happiness can be shared without any ill feelings arising. It is not my rock or you car that matters, it is our spirits seeking to trek a path together for a peace.

So if we see a stranger and have an inkling to be rude, could we see ourself in them, they are, to someone a very special part of life.

I get the anguish and seek some of the same answers. This is only an attempt to show a couple of views from my side of the fire.

Hopefully ya"ll can make some sense of these thoughts.
And if not .well just talk among yourselves for a while,LOL.

Yes kenny, your understanding is correct. Now if I could learn to get these things from my spirit through my mouth and onto a page or into an action, then all would be well.

Myself I think it would be great for years now I have been saying we the people can change things and it all starts with one step. For years I moved when I felt like it, I experienced so much, meeeting new peopel learning that yes even within the US there are so many different cultures etc. Four years ago I was ok I will do the 'normal' & 'right' thing, settle down in one place keep the same job etc, IT SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS almost everyday I stress over the silliest of things I actually joined this site today because I am really to be back to being free, to enjoy life instead of slave for a corp master. TMI? glad to have found this place, but seriously I am ready for a change, a move I want the world to be as it should be and not what we have now:sunny:

Welcome dreamaj! Just start taking steps again.
since this thread was made i've been inspired to spread the idea to the ones i know who will listen or care at all. Some ive talked to were pretty stoked, others blew me off and called me a dirty, no good hippie. But hey, isn't this what we're all talking about, spreading this wonderful idealistic of a world of peace to the rest of populations? If so, I've begun and i'm not stopping.

I've heard it said that we learn the most from people we are the least like.

That reminds me of this bit:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7D0BeLz5blM"]YouTube - ‪Bill Hicks - Today a young man on acid realized..‬‏

A bit more about me. On top of having a serious case of Coyote medicine in my totem about 90% of my life is about helping people. Monday through Friday I work at a Boys and Girls club with a 9 year old Autistic boy who can't talk and help him interact with the other kids. Saturday and Sunday I help 2 Quadrapalegics get dressed fed and in their chairs.

I play bass and intern in a recording studio. One of the things I am fascinated by is consciousness expansion. I believe that drugs "CAN" be a tool for that but aren't necessary. I've been turned on to Binaural Beats (look it up).

Part of my thing is that independence is a dangerous illusion. It is through the illusion of independence that humans disconnect from each other and start to mistreat each other. It is through that illusion that we poison the environment, both physical and psychological so I do my little bit to introduce a counter vibration to all of that.

Hey Rev, sounds like ya got a serious case of wisdom going on there. When I read your post,in many threads, I get the sense of native american teachings.

I looked up binaural beats and they had a recording that I listened to.The sound sort of reminded me of across between drumming and flute music. I wonder if this is the way medicine men used drumming and rattles to heal.I have read that each rattle was of it's own key and focused toward a part of the body.

keep your counter vibes going, I think we feel them.
