new dreads =)

thought I could update, they turn 3 weeks tomorrow . They are getting really loose, I put on some beads on the looser roots just to keep them together.

Hey, your dreads will look fab, not too fat and chunky which i personally don't like. ive just started mine off also, used squeezed lemon juice to start them off and still use it to smooth frizz on those frizzy days.

I know they are only a month old now and feel really loose but its ok
I just have to leave them alone and wait, and in one more year bam! hopefully I'll have dreadlocks.

so this were taken at one month (the 11th) a lot of loose hair.I put wraps on the ones that were falling apart and some others just because they look pretty . Right now I'm just waiting for the shrinkage to begin.

they will be gorgeous! be careful with those wraps. they look nice until your hair eats them, or they bind your hair making it difficult to lock.

 

They do look nice though, but don't always play nice.
These shall look great in ze future

haha yeah, we've been celebrating for three days now haha
I'm really happy for them, although I feel like they are using this great news to distract us from another situtation going on.
and what a shame about the miner who died in Petorca. We still have a lot to learn in our country about our workers security, especially the miners.

 

they were 7 weeks old today. Right now it just looks like regular hair but I can feel it more knoty :2thumbsup:.

also went to a park with my family and the dog, here's a pick were you can appreciate my 7 week old "dreads" and my crrraaazzyyy looking dog (she's adorable )

Yeah your hair looks beautiful. When dreads mature, will they just be straight or b/c your hair is so curly will they wave around? Hrm?
Also, the look on your dog's face is priceless- what did he see coming!!?

ketchacha I think they will be a little wavy and the tips are definitely going to be curly, I have one dread that is more knoted and it's straight-wavy-curly lol

and yeah my dog is crazy, she likes making funny faces for the camera

 

2 months today, lots of loose hair, some knots, same as always
