Just because a person lets their hair dread naturally doesn't mean they have to neglect it (I hate the term neglect as it pertains to all natural dreads btw). I enjoy playing with my hair... does that mean I have to stop just because my dreads formed naturally? For me, NOT playing with my hair would be unnatural.

Please do not spread untruths that natural dreads must be neglected. To me, the term "natural" dreads = dreads that were FORMED naturally - no combs, no initial sectioning, no twisting and ripping. This is why a person can backcomb and THEN neglect... however, a person can never backcomb and then go natural as the dreads were already forced where they will be. Naturally formed dreads can be maintained but still be considered natural. Neglect dreads would = doing nothing at all.

palmrolling doesn't form dreads though. I don't know anyone who actually palmrolled a set in?! It barely works as a maintenance technique let alone a way to make dreads.

palm rolling doesn't do jack, well it didn't for me.

backcombing is just forced knotting. what is a lock? a big knot.

but yeah, if you're serious about the 2 locks thing, well there's your answer folks.
