If the resolution passes, I'll drive into the city the day after, go to a deli, get an Italian sub, and be sure to ask for oil & vi'negar'.

Saying Vi'negar' would be breaking the law.

I could die in peace if I was arrested for saying Vi'negar'.

    You are a redneck, yessir.

I have had so many people in Arkansas tell me that, and I know that they all think that they are superior to black people deep inside.

Using the word "nigga" to describe your average dumbass lazy American is idiotic.

He's not a racist, he's from Texas... he is just predominantly ignorant to race issues because of his upbringing and because Texas is a whole other country. They even hate white people who are not from Texas there...

    Insane in the membrane.

I hope theirs a clash at the Apollo over this just to show how stupid this is.

I loathe racism, but what about words insulting fat people? Is hating blacks intrensically worse then hating fat people?

And in the context of humor, using something to shock the audience into questioning social values... is taking away that expression racist in the sense that it limits black performers dealing with issues they may have faced?

Words have strong value, and in many instances, changed by the way their used.

Ghandi called outchastes 'children of god', which was acceptable then, because noone used it. Later, 'Children of God' became used as a racial slur.

When context is vile, should we

A: Try to censor certain words to make language more pallatable?

B: Make sure certain people are never allowed to speak?

C: Try to live with as much nurturing as possible, and encourage all people to participate as equals. Ignoring the hate filled messages as those who have a lot to learn.

I personally feel when you censor someone, no matter how crazy or evil what they have to say is, you are giving their argument credence by not letting a better discourse be presented against it.

if they are going to ban "******" then they better ban the variant "nigga". might as well kill two birds with one stone.

Uhhum... censoring a word is like parents telling a 16 year old kid not to drink booze.

The kid will just go out and drink more of it outside the house.

Yes, this is all about as binding as Congress saying, "We dissaprove of this war." Sigh... what a bunch of political bullshit.
