i guess i'm saying what bbad is saying, that the costs of having guns in the house outweigh the benefits, overall. at least they do here, where we really don't have much violent crime.

but anyway, this is the stoner chat and we all know where each other stand on gun control and such.

so to get it back on topic, i'm about to smoke a joint and watch last night's episode of archer.

Its not a big deal to have a few guns in your house, i agree it makes you feel safer. But... I don't see a reason to have so many?

Growing up we always had a guns in the house, but they were mostly all old WW2 guns passed down from great grandparents and whatnot, just for looks they didn't do anything. But my dad had a gun of his own that he always kept under his bed just in case, we lived out in the country at the time and if anyone ever broke in or trespassed or anything... well, i guess he'd just take matter into his own hands rather than waiting for the cops to get there.

Canada isn't as safe and perfect as you guys say, maybe where you live i dunno. But on my street, my two of my neighbours houses have been broken into in the past year, our truck has been broken into twice, and there was a guy who murdered like 2-3 girls in his house, a few houses down from me... this was before we lived here though...

And there are a decent number of stabbings... you never hear of any shootings, but there are stabbings, there have been 3 since i've lived here i believe.. and thats just in my area

So yes, having a gun would be nice. Although I prefer Canadian gun laws over Americans... because, if this was America... those stabbings would have been shootings...

Back in 9th grade i believe, one of my friends got into a fight with some kid in a parking lot at night and there was like 15 people there in total, and a kid from the other grup pulled out a gun and started pointing it at us. I was like.. how does a 14-15 year old get a gun

 

I know the lady up the street had a sign on her door, home protected by 357, she was mugged going in the house and the gun is on the street now.. she basically advertized she had a free gun..

 

Im the guy where if someone says something is bad, or evil, or you shouldn't do that. I go and check it out for myself...
