Yes, I sprout the quinoa. Put it in a blender or food processor with water and sweetener and let it go.

Quinoa is pretty much my all-time favorite food. I also love quinoa pancakes and cookies.

I love Silk soy milk. Even before becoming vegan, I hated drinking dairy milk. I just never cared for the taste. I love soy milk though, but I like to drink the chocolate better than just the original. I never tried the vanilla though, has anybody ever tried Silk's brand of vanilla milk?

Actually, I got a little confused there, soak not sprout, for about 3 hours.

Though I do believe we've sprouted quinoa for bread before, long time ago.

I use Silk soy milk on cereal, and I use coconut milk in cooking. But I still use dairy 1/2 and 1/2 in my coffee [IMG] --I just CANNOT find something that doesn't taste weird to me. But I'm glad for this thread...I may try some of the others mentioned.

  9. Chewymom - it's probably going to taste weird, if you're used to cow's milk. I'm lucky in that I don't take milk in coffee and hardly ever drink tea, so I never had to make that adjustment, but I eat muesli or oatmeal pretty much every day and that took some getting used to. It was never unpleasant, just surprising for a while. You may come to prefer it to the moo juice - I have, and I'm not alone in that. :)

    Off-topic - nimh, I love your turtle! :D
