The idea of being able to vote for more than two bought-out candidates in elections pre-determined by polls conducted by a media conglomerate owned by four mega-rich individuals?

You bet I'm idealistic. And so is every society that insists in basic political representation.

    And those exist. [IMG]

That is absolutely ridiculous. Nether party wants you to vote. They both say, 'we don't have to address their concerns, they don't vote.'

If you vote and/or get active, they have to be concerned with you.

No. I think I'll live here for as long as it's convenient to me and keep my citizenship status unchanged.

I will steal your jobs, make a bunch of white women pregnant out of wedlock, not pay taxes, spit on the floor and litter your streets, play loud brazilian music till the wee hours against the neighbors' wishes, wreak cultural and political discord, bump every gringo passer-by I see on the sidewalks of New York City with a frown, make easy money that should be going to feeding your children your poor and your elderly, pinch a bag of cookies from the corner store unpunished, and leave without saying good-bye.

Because I'm shmart. ;) Thanks for your concern. [IMG]

well, for some reason i thought i was responding to Jimmy P
yes, i am idealistic as well, but something like "half of america turning in a blank ballot" is not my idea of a viable solution.

I'll vote when they have the public interest in mind. Until then, I refuse to give them any power. Why should I help them to get into a position of power if I completely disagree with their policies? I don't believe in choosing lesser of two evils... rather have no evils.

I'd probably vote for Ron Paul if he announces that he'll be running for the Peace and Freedom Party ticket even if it's just for principal.

"we don't have to address their concerns, they don't vote.'"

Isn't that an ultimatum? They work for us... who are they to make threats like that?

Also, getting involved has a lot more to do then just waiting in line to vote for someone... Getting involved is pushing our politicians to answer our questions honestly without any word play. Just because you refuse to vote doesn't mean you don't go out there and do this...

I will not be voting..although the future concerns me..man made governments do not, cause they ALWAYS fail to lead the people in the right direction.
