They arrested me for selling lucky bags for the stop the war coalition, because i didnt have a licence to be selling them. And the one at my school is a dick. so yeah, they piss me off
nah it doesn't have to be, I mean I'd die for my country because I like the people here... It's got nothing to do with the government, they're a bunch of fucking wankers
I have no idea if that's a compliment an insult or just a remark... So I'm just gonna walk by, smiling
observation, hope you don't turn out autistic, athsmatic and epileptic changes your world view fuckin fast.......
I have to agree with soul' and bass' on this one.. Though they may not agree with my added thoughts.. I wish i had joined the army when i left school..[i was very intrigued when they came to my school-i wanted to be a engineer] i dislike the whole thing about it supposedly being forced upon people..and the morale/intelectual/self rightious [did i forget anything ?] high ground all the 'anti war brigade' spout at any mention of 'military'.. I guess the american recruiting scheme would be a bit more 'gun ho' and such not as mild as the uk version .. buts thats just american brashness .. both i imagine wish and respect the same aims. It does annoy me that the yearly 'recruitment drive' is deemed like pseudo enlistment not that we fighting a conflict.. 'oh fuck the military fuck the goverment' 'etc etc etc' If you dislike the military based on not appreciating war thats fine.. don't over play what has been going on in schools for decades during times of 'war' and no war...
Yeah I could imagine it would... But no, I won't Medical conditions don't live very well in my family... I'm not gonna say I feel sorry for you for this one reason, most people, including me, hates when people feel sorry for them
Edward, George, your parents can fill out a form demanding that recruiters do NOT send you any crap in the mail and excusing you from any "mandatory" assemblies about the Military. I've done this for all my kids who have been, are in High School. Some High Schools are much more aggresive than others. Usually the schools in poor or working class neighborhoods. When I was graduating the Air Force repeatedly tried to recruit me for AF Intelligence. I finally said "Air Force Intelligence is an oxymoron." And slammed down the phone. They can get REALLY aggresive, some schools are just better at keeping them out.
korea was called a police action because we never declared war, theorhetically this is also a police action, not a war because war was never formally declared.......
"an army of those folk over there" "don't ask, we'll tell (in certain applications)" "I'm crazy and like loud noise gimme a gun to shoot them there arabs, do they still frag officers?" (I know long but hell worth a shot) "I'd rather have hemmorhagic fever than go to war" (great for the 7th day adventists in the crowd) "Recruit your own kids" "1-3-5-7 good protestors go to heaven" (generic sorry) the army of none one is probably the best, but I'm feeling like making jokes about everything........
Thats one of the reasons i put war in inverted commas... i should have articulated that point a bit better [not very good at that].
hey neither am I, and why don't people call them apostrophes any more? and why did quotes go out of vogue?
I think you get 1 apostrophe and 2 inverted commas [wich is now a descriptive phrase for putting something within 2 apostrophes] .. i have no clue though [just talking crap]. Who said that they have gone out of fashion.. ?
well I would imagine when you are disagreeing with a term, using it grudgingly you would quote it (quote the grand "them" the term comes from and imbue it with all the power of the quotation) I suppose I just never got the double "inverted commas" though I suppose it may be easier to spell when dreadfully tired.....
