I tried it once, I was on house arrest as a teen. I think I had about two tbsp, didnt mix it with water, went down rough. It took forever for me to feel anything, then it was mainly a slight high, and my eyes got really red. Maybe I will try it again now that I havent been high in 13 years or so.
^^get some weed then. unless you prefer the nutmeg trip. it's not supposed to be much like weed or any thing else really.
This brings back horrible memories. A lot of vomiting and a severe dislike for nutmeg are all I got out of it.
if you like to be high as fuck, don't do nutmeg. that is pretty much the general consensus. from what i've read it's a long, drawn out "trip" with a day or two long hangover. and it should be whole, fresh nutmeg if you are gonna do it. i tried it with ground up (probably about a tbsp. but maybe it was less) and it didn't do anything. i ate it with vanilla ice cream which worked pretty good to mask the dry texture and taste. maybe you are lucky and get somewhat fresh powder nutmeg, but maybe you are full of it and it doesn't do anything jk, but it's always a possibility. but if you do enjoy nutmeg, good for you. it's cheap and readily available. splurge and get the whole, fresh stuff but it probably won't affect everyone the same way it does you
For me it was like being high as fuck for like 5 hours. But yeah, I agree with everything else, especially regarding using the whole nuts as opposed to the powder. Use 3-4 nuts.
Huh? Are you gonnah try it? I am gonna do it like every time i smoke now why wouldn't you its like your really high again especially if you have tolerance issues.
Erowid peeps, erowid http://www.erowid.org/plants/nutmeg/nutmeg.shtml Tried it twice using organic whole nuts. Both times I've taken about 7 or 8 nuts but only gotten the high on grass feeling for about 8 hours. I have however, read many reports of people who got much more than that! Starting dosage is 1 or 1.25 grams per 10 pounds of body weight. Next time I try it straight I plan on doing more: probably 25-30 grams (the rest of my bag). I also am quite interested in doing with mushrooms, but I'd limit it to 4 or 5 nuts I think.
Check this out: Yes, you heard correctly. Eating 1 to 2 mg per kg body weight can induce central nervous system effects. Toxic overdose is 5 grams. Some of the effects include: Central nervous system excitation with anxiety and fear, skin flushing, decreased salivation, gastrointestinal symptoms, and tachycardia (fast heartbeat). Death has been reported but is rare. It can occur following the ingestion of large doses of nutmeg. Acute psychosis and anticholinergic-like episodes have been noted.
You sure? I can see 50 grams being an od but not 5. I had a 50 g bag, ate half, and here I am, so I'm not sure about that
nutmeg is a deliriant, like datura or dramamine. unless your looking for severe cotton mouth, bloodshot eyes and hallucinations that look so real you may get in trouble, id stay away.
^^Thanks for not reading the thread, but if you want to get really high then nutmeg is great. True it is a deleriant, but 1 tablespoon will not make deleriant effects.
actually i did read the thread. true, 1 tablespoon will not give deliriant effects, but some people may not feel anything off of that. then they might up the dosage and get into deliriant territory. i guess what im trying to say is, if 1 tablespoon doesnt do it for you, then this isnt for you. unless your really ready for a delirious experience, its best to steer clear.
Nutmeg isn't a good trip, though, from what I hear, and it makes you sick as a dog the next morning. I've had two small teaspoons before bed once, and I think it affected my dreams--they were just WEIRD dreams like coming out of my body, seeing things in other rooms, feeling like I was waking up and experiencing all of this. Just one big mess and confusion.
I've tried nutmeg a coulple times b/c of being on paper, until I got some jwh at least. I takes a LONG time to hit you and you think its not gonna work. takes like 6 hours. Then you feel high for the rest of that day, the rest of the next day and the day after that you come down. Most of the experience suck because it goes on so long you get tired of being like that, and after a while it makes you feel dehydrated and kinda like you have a high fever. The first few times I tried it it didn't work because the nutmeg had been in my mom's spice cabinet for probably around 10 years no joke.
