My gf is pretty loyal at retrieving things I want. If only she did house work it would be all good

Back when I had another life, I kept my house in damn tip-top order! Once when my bff visited me she remarked that she really liked my place and "it reminds me of your mama's house". OMG! I was so insulted I was speechless - for a minute. lol I TOLD her "I'll have you know I've cleaned this place from top to bottom! There is not one item nor place that hasn't been washed, dusted, swept or vacuumed!!!" She laughed and laughed, and told me that Mama's house (where I live now) was comfortable and homey and that was all she meant. lol She wasn't torn up about Mama's mess like I was/am. :D

There is so very very much here I need to do, I can't (won't) even begin to think about where to start. When I 1st moved back here, that was one of the hardest things to get back used to. It has only been in this past year that when I begin cleaning and straightening that Mama doesn't about lose her mind.

When Cali family visited I knew that no matter what I did, it would never really be enough for them...so I decided not to drive myself insane with it - like I usually do. What I did was make sure the kitchen and the main bathroom were clean and the rest - well, they could kiss my ass. :rastana:

I've decided my goal this year - from this May to May 2017 will be to get the house in shape to suit ME...and that will be a bigger deal that I can describe.

Firecrackers will be a regular part of my diet. ;)

lynn have you looked into the "FLYlady" method? i swear i would never get anything done if i didnt follow part of it. i dont do all the routines or "new habits" or anything, but a lot of her methods work really well for me. in particular hot spot fire drills (clear a hot spot, where mail and misc crap always lands), 27 fling boogies (scavenger hunt! find 27 things that can be thrown away!) and using a timer to let yourself off.

ive been following FLYlady's stuff for years. used to get the daily emails, but they got cluttery. now i just follow on facebook. she does top of the hour and bottom of the hour challenges too. if i open my FB and a TotH or BotH post is first, my rule is to do it.

if i try to get 1 thing done i always fail

if i keep constantly changing jobs they all get done a bit at a time

took me a real long time to figure that out .....school was an absolute nightmare for my attention span teachers always want kids to focus on one thing only

I do that here sometimes. It would be so depressing when I would Stick To A Task for hours and only I could tell even a little bit had been done. Then I began to "switch out" when I couldn't tell any progress had been made. lol Eventually when I'd gone back and forth MANY times almost anybody (but my mother) could tell what I'd done.

Back when I broke my ankle I really lost what little bit of control I had of the mess here. Then about 10 minutes after I was healed enough to walk without limping I got a job. I've never been able to truly get control of it again.

I'm going to try what Mother's Love suggested!

(and make sure I have material for firecrackers :D )

Yesterday I was dabbing on a friend's 4300$ dab rig. It was insanely smooth but.. I don't know if I could ever spend that kind of money on a piece. It's stressful to just hold the glass when it's the equivalent of a few months' rent and food in your hands.

That being said, it was impressively smooth. There was extremely little water in it, yet it worked like a charm and was probably the smoothest rig I've ever tried. Massive dabs were no problem. So at least there is some functional quality as well, it isn't all just an artistic price.

gave a free snowblower part to a stranger last winter

so this spring he shows up and gives me an old but good condition lawnmower that he was told to toss out while cleaning out his moms estate

    all it needed was gas

neighbour needs one for his camp so ill probably just pass it along free and keep the ball rolling....its uses a bag though most camp people want mulching mowers and this one doesnt mulch well its only a 3.5 hp classic style briggs

Passed over 4 good sized kidney stones at one time earlier today. Not sure if that is good because my kidneys never bothered me...or if it's bad because who knows what is in there just waiting to cause some real pain.

I was thinking about how baptists usually say Christ is the lord and saviour but john the baptist was older than Jesus.

Every time I see one I think about how cool it would be if they had some sort of value. I mean I could pretty much print money if they were as useful as a diamond or LSD or any other valuable item that is small.

Irmi, your rabbits' fur look like velvet! They look precious and Afreyu (?) likes them, too, right?

Your fingernails are also lovely. :D

Earlier tonight I heard a ruckus coming from the big bathroom. When I got in there poor BB was sopping wet where Mama had left the seat up and she fell in as she was either coming out of the window or getting in it. I ALWAYS close the seat, not that that makes any difference! Anyway, BB's little self was just pitiful.

I guess every time I hear the bathroom being used I'll need to go in there to make sure its flushed and the seat is down. :wall:

After looking at what I just typed, I realize I better just plan on going in there about once an hour :dizzy2: :bigcry: ...The Mother is capable of slipping in there without making noise.
