O Brother Where Chat Thou?

I'll chat for a second about a personal low and shitty thing here...

I'm good and jazzed with my firecrackers and its almost 6.

I can't keep doing anything I want for a time, shortly in a second. Because I have to get Mama something started for supper or I'll have to listen to her. She is quite capable of fixing something but she doesn't and that's fine.

What I do know is she isn't hungry. As I sit here I remember her just eating a piece of cantaloupe or 2.

Its just what has to happen for me to not hear smarty-ass shit...so that's the way it is.



I'm pouring a glass of wine as soon as I hit post. lol

 

I had a comment in my head about something my mom did earlier today...but I forgot what it was so it wasn't that important.
I always call her the locust because she moves around alot and destroys everyplace she stays at.

 

Sounds like she has fun.

I've got about 7 hours until these trials start. I can't sleep. I can't rest. I'm trying to find some place that opens early so I can get on a table and practice a little bit. Much earlier tonight I had few practice games with a team member. But trials are solo so it's all on me. I need to come top 4 of my group to proceed. Not sure if there's 6 or 8 people a team. Actually it's 9. Lol. I was hoping for 6.

I've just sanded and polished my cue. I've shaped my tip quite good I feel. got my chalk. I might get a MacDonalds muffin for breakfast and then I'll have a pre trainer with it, get some focus and mood enhancement for the trials.

Apparently will be very long day and told don't panic if you aren't doing well things change quickly.

 

Oh no! My cue tip has absorbed all the moisture from outside and now my leather is damp!

This is akin to Roger Penske pushing his car into the grid at Indianapolis and finding there's an oil leak before the green flag. =[

Luckily I picked it up hours before hand though. I'll just use a hair dryer. Hotels always seem to have them.

 

free concert ruined by rain. and I feel like crap for some reason.. oh yeah rain.

 

picked up some very unique looking birds today....2 are black and white ,1 id reddy blonde and a red/white

barnyard mix....one is laying already....I sold 6 to my neighbor from the 10 I bougt today


I went out and couldn't find 3 new birds....after searching my yard I finaly found them on my ladder which is propped against the back of the house....1 is 12 feet u[p

I have 21 birds now

 

my friend has some funky looking birds....it actually looks like thier feet and toes have feathers

Over half way now. 7-9.

 

Made myself an enemy. German All star and I have his cage rattled too. Snookered the 8 and he systematically sinks my balls give me fouls because he knows I'll have to eventually free the 8 for him. So we played that game a while. I came back. Then I got upset. I thought it was just a gutless move. I mean come on, play pool, not hide and seek, so I went for to open that 8 up and play some pool. I sunk it and lost, which is what was always going to happen which is why he never tried.

Anyway.

He has a real block chin like American Dad and he comes up to say good game. I tell him "yeah, that's how a coward wins it" and he just pauses and looks at me. Yeah I said. I called you a coward because that's how you play. can't wait to play him again tbh but I am on break now.

What's I've found interesting so far is momentum and fatigue. I been up all morning and that's just how I roll, I'm wide awake. I'm watching people now get a little drunk, good players are fading and I seem to be shooting straight. I'm on light beers by the way, lol. Being smart about it.

I'm so angry at this coward though it's such an unfair rule. If you're fouling on purpose it should be ball in hand. Not to mention fouling 4 times in a row on purpose. Gutless coward!

 

Not sure of the situation but is it possible for you to foul on purpose too? Now I don't mean to be cowardly. .. I mean if the game goes on for hours with nothing but fouls then maybe that would inspire a rule change.

Yes. I thought so too. I thought we could literally just touch the ball inches at a time here like stalemate in chess. So I took the chance.
But he just played snookers on me again and I made one huge soft straight in side pocket and set me up to win the game.

 

I don't think I'm going to progress here. I made good come back to 9-9 but dropped a couple more. Now I won't get 50% =[

lol...and since you're a "girl" he knows if he gets aggressive with you that'll really show what he is all about.

After just over 7 hours it's all done and I missed out by only game. I finished 10-14. Still shooting better than the guys that only got 4-8 wins. Disappointed though. Very easy to sit back and think about all the games I threw away or when I was totally unprepared for the pace in the beginning where I lost 6 straight. All I needed was one of them. -sigh-

Still, invaluable practice I suppose.

Yeah that guy, Lynn, he only lost a couple of matches. I'm glad I was one of them. Sort of name is Phil anyway? PHILLIP! PHILLIP! COME HERE PLEASE....FFFFILIP!!!

and my conversation with him was more... stirring than it reads the way it does in text. I was smiling while I was telling him that, but it was like just a little fun poking you know? When they're that much better than you, ya gotta get in their head one way or another.

I just looked at th draw for another competition next week. I don't even want to play. I'm grouped in with 6 people in the top 50 and three of them are top 5. I'm annoyed at that, what'd I lay 60€ for? Just to fund their prize pool? I figure I'll just get drunk and be a nuisence, make 'em work for it.
