Got it. My dad has a small chunk of ownership in a company right now that he is running as COO. Most of their business is based off innovative patents that dominate the market plus settlements they reach from patent infringements from large corporations. I won't see any of that money until both my parents die but I never earned it in the first place so I wouldn't mind my parents investing a large portion of it into real estate or stocks.

 

make your money the real way, own large areas of land and when your town becomes a hotbed for tourism, sell it all. thats how we do it round yonder
