No, Obama won't be assassinated. But the only one I DON'T want to see in office at this point is McCain, because I'm pretty sure he will only further Bush's political agenda in Iraq. We need a leader that will effectively withdraw us without pulling us into a global conflict in the process.
Well I wouldn't say he can't speak without the West Texas drawl thing. I don't speak that way, unless I get upset. It is hamed up a bit, but I don't think it's totally contrived.
I'm afraid at this point, none of them can. In that regard, thinking along the lines that we are already there and have no other choice, McCain could probably do a better job than Bush has with the urrent situation. It's just that we would be better off if we could pretend we never went to Iraq, but that's impossible.
It's not going to happen, but the campaign trail would be the most likely place for an assassination. Once he’s in office he’ll be under the umbrella protection of the secret service and virtually impossible to get near. But if he was assassinated riots would break out in Washington DC, Detroit, Cleveland, Atlanta, Chicago.....etc... and I would lead the way Hotwater
Don't worry I'll make certain you don't end up like my last white friend ..............Reginald Denny hotwater
I'm not sensing any rise in racism right now. I think in 2008 shit has cooled a bit Bush would have been a more likely target than Obama, and nothing happened so I think he would be ok
That's because we're all in the same boat. ahhh there's nothing like a good ole fashioned recession hotwater
i just think people on both sides think about shit more...In a lot of ways I think people are more knowledgable about the dynamics of our society
If any of the candidates was to be done away with, it would be Ron Paul, as he is the only candidate who is clearly and openly anti-establishment. I don't hear Obama talking about abolishing the Federal Reserve. But I think the media is succeeding in their attempts to ignore Ron Paul and paint him out to be some sort of crackpot. He came in second place in two of the recent primaries, in Nevada and Louisiana, and the media didn't even touch upon it. The media gives Obama tons of airtime because he has been groomed and vetted for the role he now assumes. He is an establishment puppet all the way. Unfortunately, most of the public is gullible and uninformed, and they base who they vote for more on outward appearances rather than what the person actually stands for. It really doesn't matter, though, because the people have no say in the electoral process anyway. It's a complete sham.
Rat is very right though. We are fighting a very tough uphill battle where the media controls our government process, and we are forced to believe what we read/see on the news.
What do you mean? I am just stating the obvious. I said from the beginning he wouldn't win -- not because of lack of popular support, but because the establishment would never let him win. The media has been ignoring him from the beginning. When they knew they could no longer ignore him, they brought out their attack machine in a feeble attempt to discredit him. We have already seen vote fraud occurring at these primaries, for instance in New Hampshire, so the whole thing is a sham anyway, as I have always said. That's why I don't vote.
Ron Paul. He's the only genuine candidate that says what he feels. Plus, he's clearly anti-establishment and not one of these corporate CFR minions like McCain and Hillary. He's vocal in his disdain for the war, and he talks about real issues such as the abolishment of the Federal Reserve and CIA. There is no way the real controllers of this system would ever let a person like that win. They blew Kennedy's head off for even suggesting the Federal Reserve be done away with.
I would say that makes alot of sense. Your right though, he doesn't stand a chance in the electoral process.
