He's anti post office anti establishment. He's anti choice. He's anti healthcare and anti immigrant, he's anti stem cell, he's anti abolition of sodomy laws. And he wants to issue letters of marque. That I find pretty amusing.
He's not "anti-choice". You're just repeating what you've heard other people say. If he was anti-choice, he would either be strongly pro-abortion and want to provide Federal subsidizing of it, or staunchly anti-abortion and want to outlaw it altogether. Instead, and according to the Constitution, he leaves it up to the states to decide. That's the Constitutional way. The Federal government was never intended to intervene with these issues. And I don't think Ron Paul is anti-health care. I consider him pro-health care. Unlike the Democrats, who want to give you socialized, state-run health care, Ron Paul talks about tackling the issue of why health care is so expensive and unaffordable in the first place. Socialized health care isn't going to make health care any more affordable. It's not going to make the fat cats that profit from human suffering any less rich. If anything, it will make them richer while the quality of care falls even lower. (Just look at the state-run veterans hospitals if you want to get a glimpse of what socialized health care would look like.) Besides, it's not the government's role to provide health care. However, Ron Paul has stated that he believes nobody should go without treatment if they need it. But we first need to have the money to do this, and we're not going to have the money if we continue waging illegal wars while giving people who are here illegally free health care. There is also a difference between legal and illegal immigration. When did Ron Paul say he was against immigration? He is against the open borders policy of the current administration, which floods this country with people who cannot assimilate, who become dependent on the system that is fed by the American taxpayer. This has a tremendous impact on the economy. Why should I have to pay for people who are here illegally to be treated in the hospitals when I myself -- AN AMERICAN -- don't even have health coverage? You talk about government healthcare, but where do you expect the money to come from when we have 20+ million people here illegally?
Well I had a decent response typed out and then vista crashed, so I'll debate you over in politics some other day. I look forward to it. You're a smart guy Rat.
