Ocala 2009

Sorry to interrupt all the animosity but if you want to discuss the problems at Ocala, wouldn’t it be good to state what you feel all the problems are in a concise manner, before getting to the personal attacks, so that everyone knows what’s being discussed and can discuss them?

Just wondering.

 

Last year, someone with the same name as you pulled up a year old posting and made a huge fuss accusing me of all kinds of things. When shown that it had no truth he just went on. If it was not you I'm sorry for that...nothing else mind you.

As for Tea Time I have nothing good to say. When a camp spends its time spanging at the top of their lungs they earn no respect from me. Further I have no love lost from individuals who populate that place, and sometimes your enemies say more about you then your friends, I am proud to consider myself an enemy of Tea Time. In Wyoming when a drunk spent two hours of the silence on the Fourth screaming obscenities, CW & Tea Time threatened Arjay and other peacekeepers from intervening. As for something Rainbow that deserves to "Die a natural death" Tea Time tops my personal list.

All I know about you Barry is that I lot of old timers that I have respect for have no respect for your actions over the years, and that from what I've seen of your postings, you seem to be one of those people who yells at lot about who should be doing what instead of showing folks what needs to be done be providing them with an example of someone doing what needs to be done

 

i had nothing to do with the person around tea time make all the noise, i was actually at circle doing the hippie thing, as for the attacks, i just like to be annoying.Although I did see you at the tea house in wyoming just before clearwater ripped you a new asshole. I do know arjay i see where he and his old lady were coming from, but I also occasionally know when to shut up, and that was one of those times to just bare it until I got to the next meadow down where you couldn't really hear the screaming. just so you know, i'm not a guy, i don't even know what AGR stands for even though scott has told me like 10 times. and as far as the personal attacks go, i just like pissing people off and you seemed fairly fun to play a game with at this particular point in time.

This one's Dragonfly the Younger, my daughter's mother. You may have met briefly, or not. But I've told her stories...

 

Ocala has a place in my heart, i have been a few times and saw the magic that happens. The family that is missing will be replace by family that shows up. It will be a different gathering this year as is every year. Maybe dolfin camp needs to have its own celebration else where in the forest since it is not a traditional gathering. there have been split gatherings in the past, and if you want to go selecting the kicthens you feel best to show up, you could have them at your party, and let us have ours. It can be ruff and I have spent seed camp with my family and little hawk, we had a great time with little or no vilolence to accure. there are alot of road dogs that attend, but that is what gives ocala some flavor.

 

thanks for the introduction, has anyone answered waterbrother's question? from what i'm catching between me messing with barry and talking to hippiestead, violence at frontgate and inviting kitchens/people to ocala? am i right or atleast close?

USFS has been trying real hard to end the November-January "Seed Camp" and March-May "Clean Up" that was once Ocala. You want to go try it, go ahead, but be ready for cop hassles.

I'm driving up to the forest from Tampa today to see what's up. I've heard reports of folks spanging in Ocala already. I'm gonna bring up some foodstuffs and politely suggest checking out some of Florida's other beautiful free forests to help lessen the strain on Ocala til February. See if I can run into anyone who would like to walk Hopkins with me today or tomorrow. I plan on scouting every other week on Monday/Tuesday from now til February. Anyone interested in scouting these days please contact me.

OK, so I did a quick drive around Hopkins yesterday. Didn't hike in, just drove around the site (FR 88/65/90). I stopped at the campgrounmd and talked with the very nice campground host who was also there in '04. He was already aware that we're thinking of setting up there this year (word travels fast). There have been some changes to Hopkins that we need to work around to make it happen this year. Most notably, there is an un-numbered road that we used last time that ran north from the campground straight up to FR88 that is now inaccessable. This road is visible in Google Earth. Campground host said he would be happy to help kind and polite scouters to find a work-around. There are a lot of hunters in the area, so we need to be careful scouting as always. Orange vests might not hurt. Didn't see anyone in Ocala that appeared to be way-too-early rainbow types. Just the regular Ocala sign-holding homeless whom I ended up giving all the food to, that I had brought. No signs of anyone at N Farles Prairie, Salt Springs, Lake Mary, Lake Catherine, Buck Lake, Halfmoon Lake, Alexander Springs or any of the other sites. Just a lot of hunters.
