2.50 was an exaggeration. my last two jobs paid me 2.15... too bad all my experience is in hospitality. god knows i am incapable of typing for 8 bucks an hour.
is there a delivery fee for your customers? that might be why some people don't tip. they might think that at least a portion of that goes to you. i personally tip a buck or two for delivery. but i'm usually cheap enough that i'd rather go pick it up
You know how people always say, I knew so and so when ....... You are going to have a different twist on that one.
the pizza place my bf works at gives him 2.50 of the total bill as the delivery fee, plus what the customer tips him. jesus i hate to say that. that makes my 2.50 an hour look like pimp change.
i really dislike the whole system of tipping in the US. there are a lot of places where people in the service industry are paid a decent wage they can make a living on. if you tip, it can even be considered insulting. i would love for waitstaff, delivery drivers, bartenders, etc. to be able to earn a fair living without the whole tipping thing involved. it's not that i'm cheap, i just don't have that much money to begin with. and i do tip, of course (because the system hasn't changed yet), but i dislike having to pay extra for a service that's already implied. tack it onto the price or something - don't make someone like me an asshole for not wanting to throw extra money around. it feels sleazy to say to someone: " 'thank you' this many dollars worth..."
he fucked the pizza delivery guy, is this gonna be in a porno I can buy. I love homo interracial/famous athlete porn.
If my employer was to pay me what I make with tips, He would have to charge more for the food, which you would pay for just for buying the food, carry out or delivery.
