I suggest you have a little read of Ireland's history, (it will probably answer your question) from 1912 onwards, but particularly from 1919-1921 (Irish War of Independence). sunflower go to a piercer and get them to pierce your eat with a bigger needle, like 16g or 14g.. then go straight to a 10g after letting those heal up for a good few months. use something like this: to save money, you won't have to buy a taper since the pinchers are already tapered. plus they are easy to put in and take out. keep buying bigger ones till you are down to the size you want, how big do you want to go?
I find spirals better if you aren't doing a dead stretch, you can get a size or two bigger and slowly move it round every so often. You can't do it with the cresents or tapers, cus they will fall out and/or look silly
well i currently have 2g(i think) gauges that i want to work up to the little black ones like just normal you know? cept they have a "pot leaf" i think it looks more like fireworks that just happen to be green i dont want to go to big just a little big

spirals are good too definitely sunflower I really don't think you have a 2g if you don't know how to do stretching, 2g is... about the size of a hole punch actually.
i'll take a pic tommy gave them to me and told me they were 2g i dont have them in yet thats what im trying to work towards I know how to stretch i was just asking the best way to do it without buying tons of different sized jewelry(imma cheap mofo) I've had 14g in my lobes and my cartilage is 14g
You could take whatever jewelry you have now and use tape to make it thicker little by little. I think it is PTFE or Teflon tape you can get at a hardware store. I did this myself and it worked fine and I am now at a 4 g (from a 16g).
