Well no, the act of judgment is a mental quality, no hammers involved, just a distortion of truth. The fruits of our experience is generated by us, no one else. Our emotional state is generated inside of us, it is not supplied from the outside. We are responsible for ourselves. No one can tell what to feel or how to feel. Just as Cain was told, it's desire is for you but you must learn to master it.
i have soemthing to add.. its the part where some dude says women are not to wear braids or adorn themselves in expensive jewelery for sake of drawing attention to themselves. its a good verse more women should live by. because god values women , and men, for their kind hearts not how they look. as heathens adorn themselves for satan, so that satan will accept and like them. but gods children dont need to stoop so low.
Take an example of being in a relationship with a woman with whom you've been unfaithful to. After a period of time you may suspect her of being unfaithful because you are feeling guilty and perhaps paranoid about your own adultry. That is, you're not being judged by her, but are judging her based upong your own insecurities and guilt.
9 Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, 10 but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.
yup, but even if you cant go nude you should wear jewelery to make others look at you. nor change color of your hair.
"I want women to---blah-blah-blah. Damn-Lighten up on the demands. Just being alive presents demands enough. The worshipped always have demands.
no demands. just trying to help them out. they do afterall want to be "equal to men" in society. im tellin them how. whent he last time you saw a philosopher wearing obvious makeup on their face, taken seriously?
I was addressing the demands made by the worshipped. No matter who they are, humans or gods--they always make demands and require behaviours. I just don't get why anyone or any-thing would want to be worshipped. People get these ideas in their heads and then just grovel around to suit the beliefs of the worshipped. It just seems odd to me.
Wouldn't "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" be complete in and of itself and be enough knowledge for all humankind to make everything right?
i think the quote is overused. and thus it looses its worth and meaning . we are taught that since elementary school.
It is and this god asks for an unconditional positive regard of you brother. All actions are either love or the call for it. Satisfy the need.
I don't know about your socks, but various bodies of knowledge make plenty of demands. But I take your meaning. It's humankind that "enforces" demands on others or people enforce them on themselves. I did hear a little voice one time that told me to change my shorts.
