Yeah, if it's been in the same spot for a few days it's not a flea, or anything living... on the other hand... I'm 2/3 a vet assistant (i dropped the course because i couldn't stomack certain procedures) but i know PLENTY about fleas! 1- using just flea shampoo will not do anything, flea eggs can lay dormant in carpets and nooks and crannies for YEARS, the only way to get rid of them is to bath your dog and remove it from the house, and while the dog is out get the household products, it needs to be removed from the environment not just off the dog, they WILL reinfest and cost you LOTS of money in fle shampoo and cause your poor beloved dog a LOT of frustration! GO TO THE VET RIGHT NOW and they will tell you every single thing you need to know, you don't n eed an appointment, the assistants and receptionists should know all about it and know exactly what to do for you... and when they suggest a preventative such as capstar, sentinel, interceptor.... TAKE THE ADVICE, it's the best thing you can do for your pets next to spaying and neutering. Had to say it, once you know the horrors you want to educate EVERYONE because you know what's on the go, lol.
I don't remember where I heard that paprika thing...But apparently it works really well and keeps bugs away from your hair for WEEKS.
this is ok advice. my suggestion would be frontiline. period. also, if you dog isn't on heartworm meds he/she needs sentinel or interceptor which is for all types of worms and fleas eggs. but, it won't take care of the entire flea problem, that''s where frontline comes in. also, capstar only kills adult fleas for 24 hrs. and, you don't have fleas dude, maybe a tick crawling around though. ugh.
I had a tick on me about a week ago. On the inside of my left arm. I pulled it off during a 4 in the morning bathroom trip. I have a little round scar from it.
