on the radio today i didnt realize that one of their new songs was playing, i thought it was the intro song to the OC....very original coldplay
I think when their first album came out they blew every DJ on the planet and took pictures. Since then they've been blackmailing them to get airplay. I'd rather lie awake all night on a bed of nails listening to my dog lick his junk.
My co-worker use to listen to them all day long and would hum to himself while just sitting there with his head on his desk.. all day long...
OK, that's pretty funny. But on a serious note-I like Coldplay. I saw them in concert once and they were awesome. But then, I'm old and stupid, so what do I know.
Coldplay appeal to maturing sorts, same way as Travis did. They have a clean image and don't swear. Further to that they both have lead singers who are of the mothering type. Each to there own. But hey you know I jest, I don't really hate them that much. I just think they are overplayed. There are a lot better bands out there making far more interesting music who don't seem to enjoy the same success as them. If you like Coldplay you might like this guy, he is kind of similar wishy washy sensitive guy vocals to feel good guitar melodies. http://www.myspace.com/blaudzun
i've really taken to drowning pool, mudvayne and rev theory. go ahead, throw some stones at the fogey.
What what? You know you have lost faith in music when you rush out to buy the new album by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. What a crock of wank that project is. I mean I like them both, I love love LOVE Led Zeppelin and I'm quite partial to a bit of blue grass too, but this new album is so lame you could melt it just by playing it too fast on the record table.
Yes I buy my music. I believe in paying for it. Although most of them are shite, musical artistes invest a lot of time and creative effort into making it and they deserve a living from it. I have no problem with people free loading it off the internet if they can't afford to buy it though, the most important thing is that people hear the music. In the entire history of the world there has never been a time where there has been so much creativity in the world, and I'd rather pay a little a more for my music in the knowledge that someone who doesn't have shit gets to listen to it to.
