I have, others have, and this could be argued as being a "hip hop thread" yet, ironically, every time I converse in a "hip hop thread" it becomes a virtual shit-flinging contest between you and I about whether or not hiphop is a viable genre compared to your metal. Which is extremely funny, because hiphop is easily the most versatile genre of music, and when compared directly to metal, the difference between the cumulative artistic worth of the two is distinct.

Yea I didn't mean it in a negative way, just a statement of fact. im pretty sure you dont listen to sunn O))) lol If you stick with it you might (maybeee ) no more about metal than me, because I've moved on for the most part. Not that I 'grew out of it' (if i ever catch you saying that i will fly to canada and whip your ass), it just more or less dominated my music taste for about five years, im moving on to other scenes now.

 

Probably - my taste in music does not beg me to scratch the surface of much metal. I have friends and family that are really into it, but it just isn't for me.

I'm sure there is style that can be varied and it would be more noticeable if you were into the music and familiar with the techniques. Hip-hop, however, can be immediately recognized in the differences of MCs and producers.

Anyone can note and identify between Nelly and say, Mike D, MCA and Ad-Rock
