Hippy Chick... I have felt like that from stress... I actually feel like that now... Im working alot and have had alot of stuff going on and no down time to just relax... See how it goes... relax some and see how you feel.. Go see a doctor if you dont start feeling better soon... If you can take a day or two to yourself and do some relaxing things see if when your just relaxing and have no distractions if you start to feel better...

HippyFreek, I'm not gonna mention the preg test cuz it's been mentioned like 5 thousand times already... Be sure to post the results in this thread tho cuz now you've got me curious.

Anyway, I will tell you that these symptoms actually happen to me a lot. Sometimes I could SWEAR I was pregnant, but my hubby had a vasectomy so I know it's not very likely. I still take the tests. But my point is that these "phantom" pregnancy symptoms seem brought on by stress or eating the wrong thing, eating too much, and sometimes just plain hormone dysfunction.

Here's something interesting tho: Whenever it's brought on by stress, it never seems to matter how much stress I'm under or for how long I'm under it. Sometimes I will get sick like this over not much stress when I've been through much worse stress without getting sick. Sometimes it happens when I've been through a lot more stress. So maybe it's not even related to stress, I don't know, but I know that it happens cuz of the other stuff I mentioned.

those symptoms are quite broad, you could have quite a number of things

you might be eating something that is disagreeing with you but not to the extent that you are fully blown sick. maybe you've got a slight intolerance for something you just havent discovered yet. or you could have some sort of a bug and in that case id recommend drinking lemonade and only eating plain things like toast.

oh and dont drink toooo much water. if you drink too much it unbalances your electrolites and makes you seriously ill. just a side note. seems like lots of people have become water addicts.

Just a quick note since she didn't post it yesterday, her test came out negative. So we can rule that out. I think it's stress, to be honest. Also, I've been kinda ill for the past few days, so it could be a bug that's manifesting itself in different ways between us. I'm still hoping she goes to a doctor soon to have herself checked out. But she's a stubborn girl. Guess that's why I love her.

Anyway, thanks to all of you (except for one) who have responded to her thread. Glad to see so many of you coming forward to offer help. Which is why I love these forums.

    Brian, I love you...even though you aren't stubborn :p

Yay for not being pregnant! :&

I'm still feeling kinda naseous, but it's been going away gradually....I'm thinking that these could be really bad, really early PMS signs...I do this every once in a while....my body gets into a pattern for about 6 months as far as how my periods work, and then one period and the PMS before it are NOTHING like what I'm used to....be it horrible cramps, or hot flashes....or in this case, maybe, nasea....

Hippyfreek, from what I've observed, you've been going through some life-changing stuff the past few months with being stressed over moving and your mom not wanting you to leave, and then coming to a brand new part of the country and experiencing brand new things, and falling in love. Perhaps it has all been just a bit mentally and physically overwhelming (not necessarily in a bad way, though) with everything moving so fast, and now that you are finally more settled in, you are able to relax and your body is taking this opportunity to manifest it's previous stress into physical ailments and then allow itself to heal.
Maybe this example will better illustrate what I'm trying to say: Almost every year, my mom will work like a maniac before her Winter vacation so she will have enough money to be able to relax for a few weeks without work. And of course, once her vacation comes and she is able to relax, she gets sick.

I hope I made some sense...

Anyway, I'm really glad that your pregnancy test turned out the way you wanted and I am so happy that you have such a loving person by your side. :)

hippy freek: this sounds similar to PMS from hell with me. I get to craving caffeine a week post period, slug it down and a week later achy tits (another classic preggers sign) bloat and generally feeling uncomfortable in my skin.
Salt water baths pull the excess fluid (and make me chill and read for a while..I don't care if the water gets cold in summer) drinking LOTS of water and in a last case effort an OTC diuretic.
If Monosphere is getting it, tell him "this is what pregnant feels like so let's not go there!"
    love to you both

Personally, I think it's stress. I get like this every year, especially towards the end of a school semester and during the summer. I can not tell you how many pregnancy tests I've gone through when I've had these symptoms! So still no kids, and my personal favorites to fix this are long baths and a good movie never did anyone any harm.

But a side note, I went to the doctor when this first started a couple years ago and she reccomended(sp) chamomile tea, it calms the stomach and nerves(plus helps me sleep)

    Hope this helps,
    Jenavieve

thanks for the advice everyone. The nausea quieted down quite a bit this weekend, though it flairs up when I smell something even slightly out of the ordinary...

and I have to say that I love having this wonderful, loving, caring man with me....he's wonderful :)

And I might try chamomile tea....it might really help me out...:D

    And I think this is PMS....killing me....really killing me....ouchers...:p

As far as stress and the like go, I know my body very well. I know what happens when I'm stressed. I know how I act when viruses and illnesses are coming. This is something that has me baffled.

And I just called my mother, to get her opinion. She thinks I'm pregnant, even with the pregnancy test results.

Apparently, when she was pregnant with me, she started feeling the nausea the day after conceiving. AND her pregnancy test results came out negative, even into her third month. AND she had regular periods until June (She conceived me on Valentine's Day).

So...if I follow the pattern set forth by my mother....god help me...god help us all :&

    thanks, Lynsey...

I'm going to have to see a doctor, maybe...if I'm like my mom, and her pregnancy tests never showed as anything but negative, even after she started to get a baby belly, I'll be the same and will need to do a blood test....

    goddammit...

ergh I'm sorry. Same with me I needed a blood test...ept's always give me a false positive. I spent two weeks in Janruary bawling only to find out my body tricked the test again. hopefully you're not preggers. Are you still in the US?

Just use protection, babe. Sex is your friend if you just take the necessary precautions.
