your data is your mom ????

Please stop this generalizations using just your mom as data..

Try to remember you will get old one day and well were you a real hippy who did progressive changes in the world or were you just a stoner who dressed in rainbow gear?

I had to LOL @ this one. I had three old friends over for the Super Bowl on the weekend. As the three of them sat on the couch sipping brews and enjoying some herb, I did some math.

I'd been friends with the three of them for a total of 138 years.

So yeah, some hippies stay connected with their friends. ;)

I know more than a few old hippies. I'm an old beatnik who wasted way too many years trying to act normal.

The craziest people I have ever known were Vietnam vets. The government supplied them with booze, uppers and downers.

Beginning in the late 70s, I got into pot, acid and shrooms. I got absolutely nothing out of acid and cocaine. they were a waste of time.

Too many hippies became yuppies after Nixon resigned and we got the hell out of Nam. They didn't sell out, they bought in to the illusion of the American Dream. Corporate America has fucked them--Big Time.

I was a conservative hawk way back then. After the hippies dropped back in, I dropped out.

Not all my data is on my mom... She had hippie friends >_<

I am not saying all hippies don't have friends either. On the contrary they have more friends usually. but, they don't usually live near them.

I am 23 and definitely already made my mark on the world. If I died now I would be happy with what I have done and experienced. I don't wear hippy or rave cloths, even though that has nothing to do with what you have done. I don't like weed either...

hippie to yuppie... Sounds like a fun change. Maybe this is why all the money is in cali? :p
