I am new to this website, so I went to the "Young Hippies" section hoping there would be some good insightfull or intellectual conversation. It just seems like a big thread bashing hippies. Why would you people do this? Why not just not go to a 'hippie' board? It seems very childish. Do you hippie bashers like to just get a rise out of people? Don't you have anything better to do? For the hippie bashers, i am wondering how old you are? 13? The only reason I think you guys would be doing this is because you are not happy with yourself.
Saying "Phish Sucks" is just an opinion, it doesn't make you right. I happen to like them, not as much as the dead though. I think Phish are somewhat original and very artistic. They are all good musicians and they can play very well together.

As for marijuana, I think it depends on the person as to how it effects them. It also depends on their tolerance level and the type of pot. I happen to think High Grade Sativia pot 'enhances' things for me, whereas low-grade 'commercial' pot tends to just make me catatonic and 'boring'.

Being a 'hippie' isn't about clothes, music, drugs, etc. It is about basic ideologies of individual autonomy and being true to yourself. It's about really being an individual, and realizing you have more potential than the 'system' wants to let you know. It's also about respecting other people as individuals.

Feel free to bash away, do what makes you feel good. Just do me a favor and put some thought and some intellegence into it.
