I went back and read 3 pages trying to figure out what in the world you are talking about here...and I'm still kinda wondering. lol Are you talking about the wings, but saying bird parts instead?

I LOVE wings...I have different kinds. I know your rooster and chickens leave (or do you call it molt when they drop wings?) beautiful wings.

One of my gone but much loved dogs was off her leash once and ran immediately into nearby woods...then she came tearing back pretty fast with a great big mouth full of feathers still attached together :yikes: but there was no bird there - just wings. I've looked those wings up, and they look like they could have come from 2 kinds of birds but I never knew which ones because this area is populated with both. It could have come from an owl or a hawk...but probably an owl. It is a brown and tan/white stripe, with the stripes going across, not down.

Anyway, I'm late here to the thread and this is a good title. I don't remember ever really seeing a bad one though. :p

I hate to hear your ex is such an ass...although **** seems to describe her well enough. It would seem to me (and most mothers) that NO MATTER WHAT, and ESPECIALLY if you are never around your kid - you love the kid and just deal with whatever you have to deal with. I'm sure you've told her he has some issues...so it isn't like this is a surprised to her sorry ass.

All those texts...good grief...what a sorry whiny bitch. She should be glad and grateful to have her/y'alls kid for the week, as well as feel guilty for not having more of a part in his life.

Sorry if I stepped over the line with what I thought about that...I've had it above my head reading about mothers that don't want that responsibility and either kill their kids outright, leave them in hot cars or whatever....I'm certain it is a VERY GOOD thing your son has been with you all this time as opposed to having to deal with such as her.

As the lines in my face grow deeper
And the well in my soul runs dry
I find that I drink more and more
From the memories of you and I

If I listened to country music I'd be a raging alcoholic.

I know those are some kind of lyrics, right? I would have liked it...but I've already used my quota for the day.

WTH is that about with the likes...seems like we are (or I am) getting less and less to dole out. [IMG]

Anyway, I really like that verse... I relate it to how it seems like in my dreams, when I'm able to dip into my well of good memories...whatever I am or look like now doesn't matter, and I love drinking from that well of memories. :sunny:

It's Waylon Jennings - memories of you and I.

I heard it on Friday and then Saturday morning... it was in my head and I like it. :) but it makes me sad, but then I'm in the lows of depression so naturally, sad songs make me sadder... but I find they help me somehow somewhere. I don't know. Nothing wrong with being sad.

I keep smiling though. :) nobody would know it to look at me.
They see smiles and rainbows but I'm just black at the moment. Love don't live here at the moment, check back in a few days. =p

I don't like alot of country but I like this. Somehow, it reminded me of the N. Dakota song.

One good thing about Chris knight is he hasn't gone soft. Like Steve Earle went soft. Went political. Guns are bad now. Not with Chris Knight he keeps his shit raw. Like one chick says in an interview what it is about him? He always leaves you so depressed and lotta people getting blown away that's the Chris Knight aura.

My fav part was in a live act at Cincinnati video on YouTube.

Now when steve Earle sings a rebel song he tells the crowd how bad guns are and stuff and how he's a different person to when he wrote the song..

Chris Knight comes out real smug "this next songs about the time I killed a man who killed my brother!" :D I love that.

Best album I think, are the first three.

    Chris knight.
    A pretty good guy
    The jealous kind

They were always produced properly in a studio and were songs that a very young guy wrote and they're so brutally honest. Now Chris never really made it big. Chris told Nashville to stick it, much like Waylon, except Waylon sold out. =p Chris said he never wanted to be known as that "guy that made music" to him music was a hobby and Chris was a mining consultant etc. in the Kentucky mining industries. His attitude is much like German musicians. In Germany, you get a job become tradesman, then you play music. Well, on the older times. =p like Rammstein, all those dudes are highly educated and tradesman etc. you school first then you hobby.

That is Chris Knight. :) and all his interviews are quite awkward as if he don't even wanna talk. So I don't feel he's very approachable which would hurt my feelings if he was like that if I met him, but I'm too adorable for that. =p except for Jeff Gordon. Cock sucker. >.>

I found Chris Knight through a friend who found him through his dad. The first song I listened to was "it ain't easy being me" and I remember I listened to it, first track on self titled album and it hit home really hard. One of those songs you swear was written about yourself you know?

He manages to nail all the sad stories about people all over the place but mainly in the south with south towns like Danville and things like that, tells stories about the people that live there and always so sad. That's why I love that part of America, he makes it sound even more sad but I just thrive on it. :)

I really can't get into much country outside of American country, except the new age rock shit stuff they sell like Keith Urban, who is actually australian I think but pretends he's from Nashville and I remember he's flogging off guitars and claims you can be the best guitar player in 30 days if you buy my book. :D piss of Keith Urban!

    You know what it is?

I don't mind country music if it's not about the topic of love.

That was my very first song I really loved by him. I wasn't like hang on, this is like, wicked... this isn't normal. People getting killed here. This is cool!!

A lot of his songs are like that, later albums there's less of a body count but the early ones wooo lots of shooting. :D then another good short song Aeri is called If I Were You and there's a live recording where it's just him solo on a blue backdrop.

Watch that short song and just listen to how the crowd and the feeling of what's happening actually changes. At the start they're all woooo! Cause it's an awesome song but he puts so much raw emotion into it, that you actually feel like he's talking about himself and the mood quickly changes as he sings it becomes very eery and that last verse where he changes the complexity and outcome of the song... ahhh. It's just awesome. But you feel him.

One of the greatest, shortest, truest songs I've heard.
