    A spiders web is pretty damn artistic and in the scheme of things perhaps much more meaningful than a Dali painting.

    What do you mean by language other than communication?

    The last one may be true but we are certainly not void of instinct.

    Precisely what I mean by observing social convention to gain acceptance.
    This is a behavior similar to puppies licking the face of dogs returning from the hunt so that returnees will regurgitate food for them.

    You don't think humans use of money is ultimately for the exact same reason? People with money seem to be socially accepted much easier than those without from what ive observed.

    Certainly money functions in the way that it is used, but money has numerical values that are abstract, whereas prostitute penguins have the set, as was observed, of one pebble, one fuck. Whereas a human prostitute would require in one instance one pebble or in another instance three pebbles for the same service. It is that abstract and arbitrary evaluation of substance that other animals seem to do quite well without.

    I would posit that humans might be better of without the use of those kind of distinctions as well. It is the administration of abstract disparate values that fuel human conflict.
