Goddamn man, how many times are we going to have to explain this to people??

And Nikkilou, why don't you try educating yourself a little before going around and calling others fools? You don't know me, therefore you have no right to pass that judgement.

If anyone, I think you should take a look at yourself there because you obviously aren't quite comprehending the reasoning of one's voting for Nader. I want to support the truly good candidate and not fall victim to the system and make an important decision based on the fear they are trying to implant in us. But whatever, it's everyone's personal decision. If you want to keep conforming to the system, go right ahead.

i would rather have my vote mean something. i really like nader, which is amazing, because i hate most politicians. i know all about everyones stances, but i'm in civics, which has swayed me to be a bit more conforming. i truly believe though, that change can only come from active participation. obviously voting for nader is much better than not voting at all. this thread was meant to spark discussion. i would vote for nader if he could win. but he cant. so i do as my mom does. i dont vote for people, i vote against them. in reality, it's not that i voted for kerry, but that i voted against bush. although i did vote for obama, he just kicks ass. i dont know if you non illinoisians know who he is, but man does he kick ass. anyhow, i'm glad that those of you who would vote for nader stick to your grounds. i just happen to have a different view that i would vote against bush

To get extremely mathematical and shit, which I will not get into, your single vote DOESN'T COUNT AT ALL! Surprising? You're one vote doesn't matter anyway, since you are only one person along with the millions of others that are voting. Anyways..

What makes you think that Kerry has a chance anyway? Or Bush for that? All the pro-election polls don't poll everybody that is going to be voting, so they can't really predict what is going to happen. Anyways yet again..

Don't vote for what you fear, vote for what you believe in. If you really want this country to get better, you wouldn't just vote against someone, you'd vote for who you thought was best. And if you are just a normal person like most of us here (normal being anybody who is not rich or doesn't own a company), you would see that Nader is the best man for the job. But no, you jump on the anti-Bush bandwagon and yell Vote Kerry! Well ya know what? John Kerry worries more about baseball fields than the environment* and will not pull us out of an UNWINNABLE war in the middle east. John Edwards talked about a universal healthcare system, but saying that all citizens will get the same healthcare as senators get was going too far. I mean, if you want to vote for Kerry go ahead, but you cannot say that voting for Nader is the same as voting for Bush, because it is not. Also, you cannot say that Kerry wil be that much of a change for our country, because he is payed by the same corporate thugs that work for Bush (Halliburton was a major contributor of money to the Democratic party this year)

He is much better than Bush, but I doubt he will really change much. He is for the Kyoto Protocol, which is great, but he is ran by the same companies Bush is; meaning will he really enforce the law onto the companies?

About Nader not winning: Shut the fuck up!! We know that!! He knows that! Jesus fucking christ...

This is a democracy, meaning that people can vote for whatever candidates they want. Also, if all the people who said "Nader is the best candidate, but he isn't gonna win" all voted for Nader, don't you think he might actually have a chance?

There is a thing called a guilty consiounce, or however its spelled.....how can you support Kerry if you believe Nader is better and not have one? If you vote for Kerry, you are voting FOR the continuation of the slaughter of Muslims. John Kerry supports Israel and will not pull troops out of the middle east.

I find it kind of funny, but at the same kind rather sick, that so many people deride third party candidates in a so called 'democratic' society. Wake up! You don't live in a democracy, you live in a two party corporate dictatorship. And until people start realising that and actually go out and back real democratic initiatives, there really is very little hope for the world....

Agreed. The people who choose "the lesser of two evils" is only fucking this country more and digging our hole deeper and deeper. Thanks a lot you guys. You should use your votes to try and make a change, not continue to fuck us over.

I may vote for Nader, but if I do, I'll see it as a vote for a 3 party system more than a vote for Nader...though I do agree that his policies would probably do this country better than anything that would ever come from Bush or Kerry.

They sound grand! I love paisley shoes. Since it was BOGO, did you get another pair of shoes?

I love my mom. If it rains, we're going to go play in the rain. Yay.

    "Galoshes"...Haha. I guess I'm just old-fashioned.

Aww, no, "galoshes" is a cool word, continue to use it. :)

I love to go shopping with my mom too. We wear the same shoe size, but have really different tastes... so no borrowing of eachother's stuff. ;)

That's the way it is with me and my mom, except this time...

It was so creepy seeing my mother interested in purple, blue, and green striped galoshes, though.
