Omg, i couldn't agree more, i hate the word "sheeple" why is that it seems that only retards who probably spend most of their day isolated and banging their head against the wall and can't accept disagreement use the word "sheeple"? ill tell you, its because it makes them feel superior, intelligent and in the know.
Slef righteous, new age, pseudo intellectual, i can't stand her either and i have seriously decided to drop her as the messiah of my false religion (it seems shameless self promotion on her part has taken that job away from me anyway).
She often talks about issues that are important to make people aware of, and I think she probably does care about people to some extent. But she comes off as alienating herself sometimes. She'll have a show about poor people or people in massive debt, and although she's just doing a show on it to help them, it's hard to take the advice she's spewing out seriously because she's a multi-billionaire. Same thing when she does shows about weight loss or fitness, she always says she has THE BEST advice or the best secret for weight loss. But one can't help but think, "oh yea, then why are you pushing 250 lbs.?"
sometimes she really gets on my nerves and can be a little rude to the guests on her show. but she does have a lot of touching stories and what not on her show. then again, it is really inconsistent in that way in regards to subject matter - one day it will be about something thats actually important and the next day its about some dumb shit without any substance. i think shes a great role model for many people..especially young girls. she was in The Color Purple, which is an amazing movie, and her acting was fantastic...so overall, i like her
You're not wrong but your not totally right either, Oprah is a business woman. She got to top with a bit of luck and fuck load of good business strategy. Don't get me wrong I'm not a big Oprah fan or anything but luck doesn't get you a billion dollar business alone. I wonder how much of a cut she takes from the books she puts in her book club.
