justify racism? Ha, take another look then. I'm not TheSamantha and my response to her is: We are not going to agree. I'm nearly 40 years old and I've known violence all my life. It's worse today - that's my experience - and I couldn't care less about statistics.
The you don't give a shit about truth and you might as well be OP for willing putting blinders on to the exclusion of reality.
Well I'm not TheSamanatha. Here's some ancient history. Plenty of what's told in this record is still in the world today. Then listen to the leader .. http://www.psychohistory.com/originsofwar/08_infanticide.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8fm3Z7jgWM"]Korn - Evolution - YouTube
I've designated myself as the sole arbiter of what is and isn't factual. It's a stressful job, but someone has to do it. :afro:
You know....there is one thing I know. And that is that we tend to notice what we notice. If we seek to see light and good things, that is what we pay more attention too. If we seek the dark, we see the dark everywhere.
I go by what I know and what I know is comprised of what I've experienced in life. For example, I was kidnapped in early childhood. That isn't the sort of experience that a person forgets. I didn't grow up in a happy bubble and I'm not living in one now. On the other side of the spectrum, I once stood in a rainbow, and yeah .. I found the pot of gold. Sure is real, sure does exist! haha. I'm simply not somebody who denies (or willfully ignores) the rotten truth in life and humanity.
I'm sorry to hear you were kidnapped in childhood and have had bad experiences... I'm not about to start comparing life experiences with you to try to sound worse but I will say I have been through a good bit of bad things myself. I also had issues in my early 20's with not fully getting over certain things and letting them taint my worldview. (for example, subconsciously reacting to new people like they were the old people who did fucked up stuff to me).... I personally have had to learn to forgive people and let go of all that shit and seek out the positive in life. Sure I remember things that have happened to me and sure, I see negative things in life now... but I don't chose to allow those things to define who I am or how I view life and the world in general. Anyways, good luck to you.
I honestly don't know how somebody with the username AmericanTerrorist tells somebody else to focus on the light and the good.. that's truly stupefying. Here's my final word in this thread: I AGREE with TheSamantha (I just think it's all american, and the whole of humanity).
Yea, I'd expect you to say that because you have no idea where my user name came from or what it means. And not gonna tell you. But, yes, I can guarantee you I focus on good in the world. I'm not bringing up my children to see the world as something to hate or fear.
:afro: I'm not actually convinced that this person doesn't actually believe that she really went to the end of the rainbow and found gold. Hmmm :drummer:
