- with the final result announced on Monday 5 September.
The election that has seemed to last longer than a General compaign is nearing it's end
What have we learned?
The 'Top' duo (according to their Political Party) clash over their competing tax plans,
Sunak saying Ms Truss risked inflicting “economic misery” through her lavish short-term borrowing pledges “on the country’s credit card” and were also at odds over their records on Brexit, Russia and China, the contest occasionally taking a personal turn that threatened to become toxic.
The Truss campaign however looks to have done it's background work more thoroughly and strategically
Sunal's faux Pas of aggressive bullying rants on the TV debates did him no favours especially with the Grassroot supporters,- (something which is substabtial when it comes to election)
Truss has remained - Calm, - to the point of being ice Cold, Firm - to the point of passivr aggressive and Confident to the point of Smugness
.
With less than a week to go it seems that Thatcher-like Truss has near guarenteed the position over a battered and out-thought Sunak - whilst the race is not yet done - the writing is on the wall
.
The 'event' seems to have taken precedent over Brexit, the Ukriane situation, putting on the back-burner how serious both the 'still with us' Covid, and the Cost of living Crisis of the Winter which draws ever closer, is for the Nation's people - 'Shame' indeed
