Overrated Movies

than again I think that Kubrick and Lynch are pretty overated too (I've watched most of their movies).

lol I remember people kept talking about how "great" that was...so I finally rented it...and I literally started to doze off in the middle of it. On a saturday afternoon where I had plenty of enegery. What boring crap.

hehe and than the sequel came out...yeab right like I'm gonna go see the sequal of a movie that almost bored me to sleep....

As for the Nepolian Dynomite argument...hehe well I thought that movie was pretty good. Not exactly hilarious, but a kind of dry humor you can look back on and laugh at. I didn't hate it, but I do agree it was a bit overrated. It is funny though, if your in the right mood when you watch it...Plus "Deb" is "Mac" from Veronica Mars so that is fun, if your a VMars fan anyway lol

 

i actually love casa blanca but i know some people get irritatingly obsessed with it. especially those afi people, i can think of a lot of other great movie quotes besides the 6 or 7 of casablancas they put on there. grrr. other than that i think THE SHINING is horribly overated. the only person worth watching was probably nicholson or that weird little kid sometimes. other than that it was unrealistic even for a horror movie and the rest of the acting was ridiculous. what a waste of time. ummmm pirates 2 was a huge dissappointment. i can believe i paid to see such terrible acting. wow, do i sound picky.

 

The Matrix was not planned as a trilogy. The second 2 were made after the astonishing success of the first one. Hence the reason the second and third were filmed at the same time, quite a long time after the first was released. It also would explain why the 2nd movie ended with, "To be concluded" or "continued" or whatever and the first one was not.

 

of fuck, how could I forget Tim Burton. I think I can say that, not without some pride, I hated all of his movies.

So you hate Tarantino, Kuberick, Burton, ect..you are entitled to your opinion but I am just curious to what you do like, what movies/directors you think are good.
