I think the whole pacifist thing has more depth than just 'not fighting' to many. But, I would deffend myself if someone jumped me or something. I just WOULD NOT ever start a fight.
dunno i'd draw the line at killing someone - no one should be killed by any government or anyone for any reason. but there's also a difference between being a pacifist, and being a pussy. there's times when a little violence is called for (say standing up for a friend in a fight) or beating someone who needs it (lots of kids who's parents didn't give em a slap or two when they were a good need a lot more now)
oh yeah, you totally have to be a pacifist, how can you make peace if you arent with it? it is hard to controll anger but it can be controlled. i have first hand experience at this.
But pacifists can get walked all over, okay you've a few exceptions where pacifim worked, like in the case of India getting independance. I know Ghandi believed that Hitler could've been defeated with pacifism and made to see the error of his ways, but I don't agree at all, sometimes action is required. I'm a pacifist myself, but I'm also a realist. If the English, Russians and Americans were pacifists back during world war 2, things would be alot different today.
