im not pagan, but i believe in duotheism and also pantheism. this is basically what i believe in: i believe that the world was created by the pie god, and then baked for 4 days inside his wife, the holy oven. after creating the earth, they bore about 20 child gods. these can be seen on this site. the child gods went down to earth and became parts of nature. their parents stayed in the after world. the pie god and the holy oven became personified, and i simply call them "god" and "goddess" because of this. i believe in the same ideals as pieism, exept that pure pieists do not believe the minor gods are evident in nature (they believe they live in the After World), nor do they believe that the holy oven or the pie god ever became personified (pure pieists believe they always remained in the shape of an oven and a pie).
polytheistic monotheism for me please! We all stem from the one, but there are so many ways that it emanates to us that polytheistic worship works great - sort of a blend of poly and archetypal mix. I did notice flying spaghetti monster-ism wasnt a choice, FSM cracks me up.
Since my cells are still dividing, I can only feel my life is a work in progress. Since spirituality is like breath for me, it too is a work in progress. I could only place myself nearest to soft polytheism. I have seen too many things melt into one.
I, too, am a combination of pantheism and soft polytheism. Everything is a combination of one thing, our souls are intertwined with the souls of every living thing on this earth and the heartbeat of the earth is echoed within our own chests. The wind and the earth are like a mother holding me. I revere the Goddess and know there is the presence of a God, as all things must maintain balance.
I'm not pagan(thoguh I am interested) but I am a pantheist/panentheist with a little soft polytheism for good measure.
Good to see a young brother of the old ways....be ever whole in your ways...may the gods always hear your words.
well I think if your a pagan your God is the devil Lucifier. I think its wrong being a pagan because its evil and the bible fobids people to do evil things like magick witchcraft I think people only go into it because they cannot except there life the way it is so they decide to take it into their own hands which is wrong they should except fate as it is.
Accepting fate is one of the most heathen, or pagan, concepts you can imagine....you christians however are the ones who invented "free will". Your age shows your ignorance, so i won't be to hard on you for it.....besides, the devil and lucifer are two different things....let the romans keep lucifer...i will take the Master Deofel anyday.
I guess now, I would say pantheism and soft poly. You see sometimes I'm completely Celtic, and see me with other Celtic warriors, so defintaley a little Celtic polytheism. And Heron what's the difference between lucifer and the devil. Peace
My advice to you, which you don't have to take if you don't want to, is to study various religions and philosophies. You're young, and I think your parents probably forced their beliefs onto you in early childhood. The older you get, you'll see that things aren't as black and white as they're made out to be. I'm not saying to rebel against your parents, just don't be afraid to look into different beliefs and find things that challenge your beliefs. No knowledge is taboo. Good luck, friend.
Lucifer is a roman god of light, dawn..along those lines, the son of the morning....The Devil, deofel, is the Old English name for the Wild God, Deo Fel...literally....the christians attached the name to the biblical character in both cases. Set-an or Satan is neither the Devil, nor Lucifer, but is based from Set, of the Egyptian pantheon.
It is probably best for you to research other religions not from the perspective of Christianity but going to the source itself, ie a book about paganism from a bookstore that sells books about paganism, not the bible. Lucifer is just a name. As a god he has many incarnations. The one I am familiar with is the Tuscany verison, where Lucifer is the god of the sun, and brother of Diana, goddess of the moon. Diana desires her brother (this was not uncommon during the time of mythology) and so decieves him by turning into a cat and having sex with him whilst he is sleeping. She gives birth to Aradia , queen of the witches. You don't really seem to understand what fate is outside of accepting whatever happens happens. I believe there is a sort of fate but it's not the human concept of 'what happens happens' but what has happened has happened, the past is irreversible. Fate is man made, and can be controlled. Humans control their lives however they want, the actions they make are what determines their 'fate' because they cannot undo what has already happened, thus fate dictates that the past was 'meant' to happen (as it can not be reversed, and there is only one path it could have taken.) Fate has no place in the future, because the future does not truly exist in human reality. There is only the past, and the present. My body is not much older than yours but with patience and a lot of thinking ive been able to find many answers to reality. I hope you can too
well i wish this had been multiple choice. i believe that what we don't know we don't know. but also that existence isn't constrained by what we think we do or don't. =^^= .../\...
