i paint naked sometimes. i pin back my hair and go for it, you dont feel like you're restricted and it doesn't matter if you spill paint on yourself, even though, even when i'm wearing my clothing and i spill paint i don't care but this way it's just more free
The vast majority of artists (brush, photography, et al) carry out their work naked in their own studio: in visual arts, they are often taught not to be inhibited about themselves in order to 'reach out' to their subjects. If I get a nude model in my studio, it's me who will be naked first to greet them at the door. I'm not alone being a naked photographer as I go about my work; a neighbour is a successful oil/acrylic artist painting entirely nude all the time; he gets himself quite splattered tipping brushes off himself as he blends colours. He jumps into the shower at the end of the day and amazingly comes out sparkling ready for the next day! I keep him away from my studio when he's splattered in technicolour... my canary yellow sofa is too precious to be smudged with myriad colours!!
I was doing a nude figure shot once and the photographer asked it I minded if she was nude as well. I told to go ahead. She knew I was a nudist so I'm sure this made her more comfortable. I have painted nude many times
Painting naked sounds fun! But then I started thinking about the clean-up. I'm not sure I want mineral spirits on my balls. Guess I need to opt for water-based body paint!! The room won't look any better, but I'll have a lot more fun!
I,ve done it too, enjoyed the freedom, but I think it could be a lot of fun with some one else, get a little creative with detail painting?
