That painting is just terrible drawn though...

I agree that art is subjective and crap.

That painting is just horrendously bad.

That's cool Dave. I didn't know you painted. How long did it take you to do one of the grid photo paintings you are talking about?
How about you Rubin? Do you draw? What kind of art work do you enjoy surroundign yourself with?
Dave, it's art. I am not argueing that point. I don't think i am an authority because I have an art degree or sell mass quanities on Etsy, but simply because I think it's truly up to individual interpretationa dn I am not going to debate or pretend I can take your opinion away from you :).

I draw in grids, my grandparents, and aunts, and uncles painted, I've painted a little but not enough to actually be happy with anything I've done, I find it easier in grid form, know it's cheating, know it's not art, don't care.

too expensive a hobby to maintain.

I only think something is art if it helps to move forward the person doing it, or the person seeing it.

or is able to stand without context and be something meaningful, truly meaningful.

a photo-realistic painting of a bowl fruit does not accomplish these goals, it is simply a study for the sake of accomplishing understanding of form

of course, that's me, I think certain clock designs are art by the same criteria.

I was going to give you a semi-serious yet still condescending answer, yet this works just as well.

I don't think I'm dedicated enough to my business at the moment.

I will re-examine the clientele next pay period.

For now, I refuse to deal with the fats.
