If you pay taxes, you're paying for everythingthat government spends money on. And the National debt is owed by all Americans for do or will pay taxes in the future. While the higher incomes may pay a smaller percentage overall, they pay a much greater amount in relation to what they receive from government than those who pay a higher percentage but much less amount in taxes, or those who pay none at all. If socialism or collectivism is your desire, make it a State function NOT a Federal government function, and attract all like minded persons to freely relocate to where the government works as they would like.

as someone who delivers pizza, I must say, the pay is great!! the customers actually ask about it sometimes and i tell them the trruth and then they usually throw me an extra five spot.

i don't want the taxers to read this, but tipped individuals make out fat if they know how to work the customers.

Also the fact that I'm the best delivery driver in the fucking city and can consistently take ten more runs in a shift than everyone else.

Really I have seen and read about how clinics get together in the States and have an Open day.

They pick a Stadium type thing and several Dr's/specialists/Dentists/Optometrists would spend a day there with nurses volunteer time and supplies.

The amount of people that came was astounding!!

All these people who could not afford to see somebody, and every age group as well. Some even traveled a distance.

I mean sure it might cost this generation and you all may feel it, but think 50 years down the line. Your a little Older and ya have a heart attack wouldn't it be nice to know you could go to emergency and get seen no matter what??

Future generations will thank you.

And the some might even give ya a pat on the back for catching up to the rest of us.

I thought this thread w Obama Care, NOT about someone becoming permanently disabled and SSI.

 

At age 77 I'm only thinking of the costs to those who will still be living 50 years from now. There's a lot of health care beyond my means of acquiring if needed, but much more than was available within my means in previous decades. Just because somone else may have the means does not entitle me to requiring they provide for my needs, although they are free to do so if they wish, for which I would be thankful and beholding, but not resentful if they did not.

Govt programs aren't always the answer. Neither is private capitalism. Unless you trust folk like JPMorgan, BofA and United Healthcare.

My g/f works for county legal aid, heading up the dept that help people that have been screwed by hospitals, insurance, etc. It's not an either/or debate, there's many shades of grey. But to say that getting govt out of healthcare all together would make things perfect is to be blind to what non public institutions do all the time, screw over people out of sheer greed.
