Parenting and Pot 101

I wish my mom was as cool with pot as my dad... My mom used to be tottally brainwashed about it, she thought drugs were evil and the downfall of society, and etc. I've finally talked her out of her brainwashed state, but she still is convinced that if something is illegal, it shouldn't be done, and that pot makes people lazy. So she still won't let me smoke (lol... she tries not to let me smoke). My dad has a really cool attitude about it, way cooler than most parents--He always said I just have to be honest with him about it, and he'll not put me in trouble for it. I keep totally honest with him, and he keeps totally honest with me, and neither of us tries to control the other, though of course being the older and wiser of the two, his advice is usually followed. For a while it was just that he knew that I smoke and I knew he smokes, and then he'd smoke without regard to whether I was present, and then he passed it to me one day, and that was great... I was 13, that was just last year. Now it's way cool, we share a stash, each of us pay for half the weed and keep it hidden in one spot, where both of us have access. I admit though, his attitude must have contributed to my current situation of smoking too much. I smoke about 4 or 5 times a day, which is more than he does.

 

Keep it under a half pack a day and you'll be good.

 

When I first started smoking pot for me it was cool cause my parents didn't know.... That might sound odd but it felt like it was just my thing and I liked it that way... When my mom and dad found out it my dad being the experimental type anyways offered to smoke with me and like 8 of my friends one night at our house while watching tv.... I hated it with a passion!!! We all felt weird and out of place with my dad there tring to sound hip or whatever!?!?!? All any of us could do was sit there and stare at the tv till my dad got the munchies and went to the kitchen then we hauled ass out of the house to go get high again as we where all freaked out by the whole thing..... but if your kid already saw it then maybe this is how she is gonna learn about it! We all have diferent first time stories about how we came into contact with pot and this is how she met the herb. Theres nothing wrong with that and this could provide and bonding experience for the two of you........... Hopefully she'll have better luck than I did......
