i wold never give my kids money to buy pot. of course they are only 5 and 1 now but i wold never ever do that. hell, if they take up the habit on their own i am not going to condemn them and tell them they are going to hell but i will let them learn their own lessons. some people can smoke and function on a normal level, others become burnouts and cant do shit...

damn some of you guys are really lucky. my parents are traditional 'drugs are bad' people and they think weed will lead to harder drugs and will kill brain cells and that only white trash smoke weed blah blah blah blah blah. if they found out (which they came really close to last week and are suspicious of me right now) they would beat me and lock me up for the rest of my life. curfew here is 10 pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekdays. the cops hang around the metro at around 9:30 to make sure all the kiddies get home on time.

Maybe I'm taking you too literally but if you couldn't live without it then that is a cause for concern.

They are your PARENTS. They care about you and probably want you to do well in the world, thus they try to prevent you from doing drugs. Sure, some kids can handle just smoking pot and still being able to function and do well and school and lead a good life. But other kids get caught up in harder drugs, or just start smoking too much pot to the point where they don't do anything else. I'm sure your parents don't want this to happen to you and that's why they don't want you smoking and what not. It's in a parents nature to look after their kid. I find it rather ignorant for all these kids to say "IT'S MY BODY, IT'S MY LIFE, I CAN SCREW MYSELF OVER IF I WANT." Dude, these people care for you and THATS probably why they care if you're screwing up your life or not.

Hey you totally have a point WaitingForTheSun. Though, I wish more parents weren't so easily duped by drug war propaganda. Mine sure are... I'm not about to try to change that either though, my mother never changes her mind on anything, and my dad would start wonderin' why I know so much about the drug war hypocrisy.
