I love that the beatles themselves enjoyed it, and wrote false clues into the lyrics! "the walrus was paul" hahahah right!
apparently one can never have too much of it - even now, years and years later, we're still talking about it. Even now, and probably forever, the Beatles are a legend.
the dude apparently took his spot in photoshoots when real paul was away, he was from scotland , when paul apparently kicked the bucket, the scottish man went missing D:
"those freaks was right when they said you was dead" hmmmmm. sounds like you have your answer :/ (i'll be willing to admit lennon was making a reference to the conspiracy, he didnt actually confirm it)
Look, I love John Lennon, but he sounded very bitter when he wrote ''How Do You Sleep''. Lennon was supposedly all about ''peace and love'' and giving peace a chance - then he turns around and writes the mean and hateful song about his ''brother''??? To be honest, that always bothered me a bit... Sorry, if I went off topic... As far as Paul being dead...in the song ''I Am The Walrus'' there was supposedly a clue to Paul's death as the song is fading out, where you hear Lennon say ''I buried Paul''..... listen again, some say Lennon was saying ''I'm very bored''.... or ''cran-ber-ry sauce''... I've hear all three, depending on what you want to hear... check it out sometime. It's pretty freaky... Anyway, it all was a rumor - Paul didn't die - hard to believe Paul died in a car crash - and the police were paid off - then The Beatles immediately found a look a like who looked EXACTLY like Paul McCartney and who had vocal and song writing skills and could play bass, in the most popular band in the world, without anyone noticing. It would of been a very tall order to find someone with all the talent Paul McCartney had. And if he really did die in a car crash, it's hard to believe McCartney's family and relatives would go along with the hoax. Everyone couldn't of been bought off. But the ''Paul Is Dead'' rumor is an interesting subject and fun to talk about with other Beatles fans. "Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. However, if I was dead, I'm sure I'd be the last to know." Paul McCartney, November 1969
John was quite violent, and prone to fly into rages. This prompted Yoko to leave him on at least one occasion. That John was a very heavy drinker didnt seem to calm him down either! Love and hate are two sides of the same coin, so i can easily understand how an artistic and passionate guy like Lennon would have mood swings to the extremes. This is a pic of john getting kicked out of the Trubador, a NY club. He had stuck a feminine pad on his head to get attention, and when a waitress complained he said "Dont you know who I am?" to which she replied, "yeah, youre an asshole with a Kotex on his head" and had him tossed out. The Beatles were into adding clues and false clues in their music, both subtle and overt. The line "the walrus was paul" is evidence you cant always believe the beatles when they try to tell us things. The rumor was that the beatles already HAD doubles who were working on learning to play, and that rumor was way before the beatle breakup - which might explain the quality of Wings music. As for buying off silence, most of the beatles didnt see their family much, maybe they didnt know! And yeah, maybe it didnt happen, but its nice to think of instead of just realizing how lame Paul got!
As a McCartney fan, I never thought Paul's solo work was lame. Yeah, he made some bad music in the 80's. But let's not forget the good solo music he did put out, which was plenty, imo.
