It's still a 4 with 140mph sustained winds, but they're saying it may get down to 135 before it hits which would make it a 3.
tid bit of history on the region "that rarely gets hit by hurricanes" ahahhahhahahahhahah http://www.sptimes.com/2005/07/10/State/Pensacola_braces_for_.shtml "Fierce storms have peppered Pensacola from the earliest days of the city's existence. The Spanish settled Pensacola in 1559, but a hurricane virtually wiped them out. From 1900 through 2004, 26 hurricanes struck the Northwest quadrant of the state, most of them in the Panhandle, according to the National Hurricane Center. Eight were major hurricanes - Category 3 and above."
I was reffering to Mobile about the hurricanes. And as far as flooding it is still possible, the hurricane is going to be right on the edge of Mobile bay, and if it decides to go West again, it may cross the bay and pull a significant amount of water with it.
I will certainly keep you in prayer, BigBong (btw, it is good to see you). Half of my boyfriend's family is in Alabama, the other in Florida. I believe they have already evacuated.
