Well... white people do look pretty damn funny with dreads... but white people choose rather funny hairstyles in general.

Mohawks, emo comb-overs, spiked hair... all of those are much funnier than dreads.

 

its like how people look at michale jackson going white......straight hair.. kind of sell out no? not that dread are but it almost the same thing.

 

Dread locks are not a "black" hairstyle. Various cultures all over the world have had locks through out the ages. For example; my Cree ancestors would lock half their head and wear the other half in braids.
