According to some credible links recently cited by Shaggie on another thread, Saddam was a CIA pawn. Now he's a liberator from Western exploitation? Either way, I suppose what really matters is that the US is somehow responsible for his atrocities, right? Like the butcher Al-Zarqawi, I guess you're another self-appointed foreign spokesman for the Iraqi people . . .
Your right ... i don't want too think deeply though ... i tried reading the links that balbus and Huck finn gave...but its full of over intelectualised gumph. i have read some of their posts and they all normaly end in mad conspiritorial madness..its very easy when you know facts and have been playing the debating game for a long time too seem credible...i am not clever enough actualy to dispute most of it ....but still i think thats the point and it becomes endless. so please i ask you too list at least five comparisons more if you want ... i would apreciate the maybe simplistic well not simplistic but east too understand response you give (hopefuly) but i truly can't debate it... i don't mind being proven wrong.. oh i did not make my opinions up watching films .... i am not that thick ... i think i meant that the vietnam war has been idealised a little and mis represented ... ok think JFK
CIA pawn? Well, like most of the third world, their all used as pawns in the Great Game of 'Global Ballance of Power'. Keep 'em desperate, keep 'em reactionary, keep 'em un-ballanced and easily manipulated. Manuvering Saddam into attacking Kuwait was as classic as Bismark manuvering France into attacking Prussia. Never give a sucker an even break! Saddam's Baath Party did support the assasination of the entire foreign Royal Family that We had imposed upon Iraq. Saddam's Baath Party did nationalize oil, ending a draconian oil contract that We had imposed upon the un-popular Royal Family in exchange for our protection. A contract that is a model of exploitation that kept the Iraqi people in rags. Right again! There is no escaping the chain of Causal Reality. Everytime we objectify another people to justify our exploiting and manipulating them for our own profit, they will likely turn desperate, and turn to atrocious reactionaries for salvation. We can't toss pebbles in the pond without causing ripples. Exactly! Now your catching on, I couldn't have said it better! Since the 1920 rebellion, the Iraqi people have been telling us with a loud voice what they thought of our interference in their lives. But as usual, We don't have the ears to hear them.
