Attempting justification is not my point. We are convinced or convicted in what we say. A mind needn't be bound but we cannot escape the effects of our own thinking.

Perception is not knowledge but can lead to it. Nonsense is nonsense. Perception is subject to distortion of all kinds. For instance a blue crayon applied to a yellow background will appear to make a green mark.

Attempting to justify is all our points. To speak with words is to justify the speaking. I for one am not convinced or convicted by what I say, this is how I know that what I say is true. To claim real truth is to deny all truth. To accept thought always is to mislead oneself.

Perception is like a river, always flowing, always changing, but never reaching it's end. Knowledge is colored by the mind that seeks it. Wisdom is colorless.

You totally lost me there as well. What are you saying in response to me? If the conversation is the flower and water is the effort to bring a point across in order to move the conversation further the flower seemed to have died here. I'm sure that's not how you ment it but I am also sure I don't know what you ment at all. Hence: you should at least explain your analogy if you choose to use such a way to make it clear what you mean. I hope you will!

 

I think there definitely are not enough hippies here. Over the years I'm seeing more and more judgmental, pretentious, condescending people taking over. If you think you're better than hippies because a lot of them like to smoke weed then go ahead. I personally think that people who are relaxed are more interesting and fun to hang out with than critical, rude people.

 

Rude people can be very relaxed.

 

There are some "hippies" round here that are nauseating parodies of the culture also. Being an open minded stoner is all good but reading how some folks speak as if they just cracked open a fortune cookie and read it gets old.

Having said that this place could lighten up a bit, myself included.

 

Ahgh! To regret is not the same as to cherish. It is not a surprise to me that you lack consistency. Your wisespeak is slightly out of rhythm. It doesn't penetrate the context of this moment.

Knowledge, your shared being is beyond what can be taught but not beyond recognition. Nonsense is not understanding or perceiving value at all. Perception is an interrogative, consciousness emerging for the purpose of finding direction, questions answered satisfy perception by degree. That is looking for direction, direction is found. We ask the question where is the food and in our investigation we find food and are nourished. The answer to your question is translated into being and this then is knowledge.
Wisdom is justified in all her children.

Why does someone speaking in a way that makes sense to them annoy someone such as yourself? If misunderstanding is so deep and the path so treacherous then you have but to ask and the parting will be made known.

I was not saying that regret and cherish are kin. I was saying that I regret his not understanding me and that it is good for him to cherish his knowledge. You are right to say that perception is brought about through interrogation of both worlds. I say that perception is like looking through a muddied river to find a fish.

Knowledge, shared being, is complete. Muddiness is a lack of clarity as we treat our perceptions unequally, taking responsibility for some while disavowing responsibility for others.

 

This is one place where you and I differ, though perhaps only in translation. To me knowledge no matter how shared is deficit without wisdom.
