'PET SOUNDS'-bestpopalbumalltime?

I bought the album a couple months ago, because i saw Rollingstones had it ranked at #2 all time. I didn't like it at first but it grew on me quite a bit. I like "I just wasn't made for these times" especially when the saxaphone kicks in. I'm thinking about getting Van Morrison's Astral Weeks now.

 

Astral Weeks took a long time to grow on me but now I totally dig it. Some of these 1965-1969 pop albums aren't all that in - boom, knock you on your ass immediately - like Sgt. Pepper or Are You Experienced, but they are unique and have all sorts of things that hadn't been done before at that time. Plus, there's so many respected groups that have tried to mimic those records and still try decades later.
