"Pi: faith in chaos"...is that the same as "Pi" where that mathemetician guy sorta goes crazy and then discovers God?
Oh, and Richard Linklater's "A Scanner Darkly" is coming up and looks really good. I love Linkater's work--so fresh and powerful.
I really enjoyed vanilla sky. I went through most of the movie, thinking it was just about this one thing, ie Tom Cruies's downward spiral, and then it turned into this completely other thing. Oh, also, my brother pointed this out to me the other day: the movie Gattaca's name is composed of the four proteins of DNA, G, A, T and C. Ain't that neat?
cool!!! thanks for the heads up raven. linklater's made some really great films.. like before sunrise... *sigh* haha
The Monkees made a movie called "Head". After years searching I found it on DVD (Warner Music) a couple of months ago. If ya gonna watch it, remember it was made in the 1970's 'cause the effects are crappy by today's standards. But talk about a philosophical world-life-view!!
i discussed philosophy in movies with some buddies and we found out that one of the most ethically correct movies is disney's lion king, we discussed it for so long time that i have forgotten the actual conclusion..
